Clowns are funny when they are filled with the desire to entertain their audience. They wear exaggerated make-up and traditional costumes, which enhance their presence, and make jokes with people and various tricks. But clowns can also be terrifying and bearers of hideous evil, capable of tearing apart people's souls and bodies.

Klowns slot by the distinguished game developer Hacksaw Gaming is more of the second type with sinister script and spine-chilling gameplay. Lester and Jester are two clown characters brought by the studio and designed in Pennywise style with slobbering sharp teeth. But they won't do any harm despite the dread they inspire and will even help you win the max prize.

Our Verdict

Klowns is set for release on the first business day of 2025, and what a start this will be for Hacksaw Gaming. The game is quite charming, even in a sinister way, and for me, a fan of horror games, it is worth comparing it to Evil Eyes, which is an undisputed genre masterpiece.

Despite using similar mechanics as in Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus, Klowns is actually paving its own way in a completely different direction. That's not only because of the theme and effects but also due to the Klown Multipliers and Needle Boxes. These features are different and could have a massive impact on performance.

For one, no scatter-pay slot with cascades and Multiplier symbols has both additive and multiplicative symbols in reserve. Moreover, the grid-clearing mechanic is more like an innovation. And to all that, I must add the well-designed bonus rounds and the Bonus Buy panel that can enhance any slot strategy in the hands of a master.
