Multiplier Features

Boomberries features Hot Zones, which is one of the slot’s core mechanics. It activates after the first win on any grid cell, doubling the multiplier. Thus, the first time you score a win, the associated positions will get x2 multipliers. Next time, they will become x4, x8, x16, etc. The max Hot Zone multiplier every cell can have is x2,048.

Besides Hot Zones, the game offers two other Multiplier features: Collector and Dealer. The first one activates when part of a win and collects all single multipliers in view on the respective cell and can be used as usual. Collectors can be persistent just like the Dealers!

Multiplier Dealer also activates when part of a win and multiplies single multipliers in a random position - left, right, up, or down, by highlighting them with V-shaped light. Dealers can activate multiple times within the single spin, but don’t change their multipliers, which is the base they use to boost other cells.

Hot Zone Strike

Hot Zone Strike may randomly trigger on any drop in the base game and free spins. Whenever that happens, random positions on the grid are selected and receive x2 multipliers. If any of them already have multipliers, they will be doubled. Hot Zone Strike can’t activate during avalanches.

Special Wild Symbols

Boomberries offers 3 different wild symbols, and they all substitutes for all the other symbols, except scatters. Regular wilds do that only, but Exploding Wilds and X-Bomber Wilds also activate features. Exploding Wilds remove all payout symbols above and beneath them in an X-shaped area. X-Bomber Wilds replace all payout symbols in an X-shaped area with a randomly selected regular symbol or Wild.

Special wilds in the X shape area of X-Bomber Wilds are also triggered. If any position on the grid is affected by multiple X-Bomber Wilds, it will transform into a Wild. Exploding Wilds do not activate Hot Zones and do not affect cells’ multiplier values, but X-Bomber Wilds do all that.

Bonus Game & Super Bonus Game

Bonus Game requires at least 3 scatter symbols in view, which award 10 free drops. During the minigame, all multiplier values are persistent between rounds and only grow. If you activate the bonus with 3 scatters and a persistent multiplier feature, you’ll get the Super Bonus. It comes with the same rules and extras, but at least one multiplier feature will be persistent during the whole time!

Boomberries offers the iconic escalating grid multiplier mechanic forced to the market mainly by the Sugar Rush slots. Multiplier Spots are replaced here by Hot Zones, which can have an even more devastating effect on the reels, in the good sense. Doubling multipliers always carry excitement and good vibes, especially when they can stack up to a massive x2,048. For example, even the on-steroid version of Sugar Rush - Sugar Rush 1000 offers multipliers of up to x1,024.

Boomberries doesn’t stop here and enhances the base gameplay with Collector and Dealer multiplier features. They can affect the grid one-time or appear in persistent forms. What’s more, multiple Exploding Wilds and X-Bomber Wilds can add more power to every drop. Indeed, all those special symbols and features may feel confusing, but their potentials, alone and combined, are undoubted.

On the other hand, Boomberries is a clone of a 2023 ELK Studios’ slot - Oxygen, and not even a polished one. Moreover, the original got a couple of sequels - Oxygen 2 and Oxygen 3, while Boomberries most probably won’t get into a series.
