Sweet Loot

Sweet Loot Review

Sweet Loot is another candy-coated online slot that finds a place in the endless collection of Pragmatic Play games. With all the sugar, candies, lollipops, and bonbons that have been flying around in recent years, it was about time for that mixture to evolve. Jellies have jumped a huge number of steps on the evolution ladder and have formed land, trees, monkeys, parrots, ships, and even pirates!

Pragmatic Play is exactly the game developer capable of masterminding such a story. It has one of the most extensive slot collections on the market, although the company was started just about a decade ago. Pragmatic Play has covered pretty much most of the themes, mechanics, and scripts, but it has proven to have an affinity with sugar and candy slots. Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush, and all of their sequels, copies, and upgrades are clear examples of that!

Sweet Loot fits in the same category, but it extends the things a bit by adding to the usual playing grid. It is the same 6x5, though, charged by a Pay Anywhere mechanic and offering a Tumble Feature. However, the provider has added an extra row of 4 positions on top of all that, spinning from right to left. Scatters and Super Scatters can trigger two Free Spins

Sweet Loot Slot - Reels Screen

Sweet Loot pays for at least 8 regular symbols of the same kind anywhere on the reels. There are no wild symbols as usual for this type of slot, so the 4 extra positions are of great use. They deliver more positions and, respectively, chances for winning combinations, but may also add multiplier boosts. Pirate Captain is the sweetest of all symbols, paying 10x, 25x, and 100x the bet.

Parrots follow with 2x to 20x, along with Monkeys and Octopuses - 1.50x to 15x and 1.25x to 10x, respectively. Swords deliver between 0.75x and 8x, Skulls pay from 0.60x to 6x, and Anchors - 0.50x to 5x. All symbols are made of jelly and candy, of course, just like the lowest-valued prosthetic hooks, ship wheels, and bottles of rum.

Whenever a winning combination occurs, symbols pop and disappear, activating tumbles. The rest on the base 6x5matrix fall down to fill out the gaps, and new symbols come from above. Cascades continue for as long as there are new wins, and the total payout is awarded at the end. The betting range is as wide as anyone familiar with Pragmatic Play would have been expecting: €0.20 to €240 per spin, up to a massive €48,000 via the bonus bets.

The Sweet Loot RTP ranges and goes up to 96.53%, while the alternative versions come with rates of 95.49% and 94.50%. Make sure to check that before making a real-money spin at a new online casino! The slot is characterized by medium levels of volatility and has a Hit Frequency rate of 28.17% or 1 in 3.55 spins on average. The Sweet Loot max win is worth a spin: 10,000x the bet.

Sweet Loot Features

Sweet Loot is packed with familiar features like Tumbles, Multiplier Symbols, Super Scatters, and Bonus Games. The new stuff is the way multipliers appear and activate. Pragmatic Play has added a number of ante bets, special options, and bonus buys. They can be a valuable asset if used wisely and with caution. Find out more in the following paragraphs:

Multiplier Symbols

Regular symbols with random multipliers may appear on the extra row above reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. They will have values from a predefined set: x2, x3, x5, x6, x8, x10, x12, x15, x20, x25, x50, x100, x200, or x500. Whenever such a symbol forms a winning combination with other instances from the 6x5 grid, the base payout will be multiplied by the respective multiplier. If more than one multiplier is involved, their values will be added to one another.

Free Spins Bonuses

Gold Coins with the Jolly Roger stamp are scatter symbols, and they can be regular or Super Scatters. If you have 4, 5, or 6 of any kind at the end of a base game spin, you will activate the bonus minigame with 10, 20, and 30 free spins, respectively. If at least one of the triggering scatters is a Super Scatter, you will get the Super Free Spins bonus.

During Free Spins, it is guaranteed that at least in 1 of the 4 extra positions on top will land a Multiplier Symbol. During Super Free Spins, it is guaranteed that all 4 extra positions will be filled with Multiplier Symbols with minimum multiplier values of x10. If you spot 3+ scatters of any kind during the bonus, it will retrigger with 5 extra free spins.

Special Bets & Buy Feature

Special Bets contains 2 Ante Bets and 2 Super Spins at fixed prices, which can turn out to be quite useful. Keep in mind that the bonus triggering frequency is very low: 1 in 406 spins on average. Therefore, you can consider activating one of the bonus bets or the Buy Feature functionalities. Below, I’ve displayed all that is in for purchase in Sweet Loot:

• Ante Bet 1 - 1.25x the bet - 2x chance to activate a bonus game.
• Ante Bet 2 - 4x the bet - 7x chance to activate a bonus game.
• Super Spin 1 - 20x the bet - four guaranteed Multiplier Symbols.
• Super Spin 2 - 200x the bet - four guaranteed Multiplier Symbols with minimum values of x50.

• Buy Free Spins - 100x the bet
• Buy Super Free Spins - 500x the bet

Theme & Graphics

Sweet Loot features a Pirate theme, which is not just unusual but unique, and it’s the first slot to combine sweets, candies, and buccaneers. It is all made of jellies, of course, and other delicious treats. A pirate captain stands on the right with an eyepatch, a sword lifted ahead, and its favorite cannon, obviously. There are gold coins spilt everywhere and a pirate ship on the left with billowing sails.

Sweet Loot is a colorful adventure and not just an endless world of ice cream and candies. It is a light-hearted theme with no depth, indeed, but it is a step forward in the right direction, in my opinion. The awesome audio set, the smooth animation effects, and sweets flying around are the ideal wrap-up of an online slot like such.

Sweet Loot Free Play

If you want to have a taste, go with the Sweet Loot free play mode linked to my review. SlotCatalog has 52,500+ game articles, but none like this one, I promise you! The game is truly unique, although most of the mechanics and features are straightforward and close to those that we are all quite familiar with. Still, the demo version is a must before embarking on a real-money quest. It will help you evaluate the gameplay and build a strategy for a better outcome!

Pros And Cons Of Sweet Loot Slot

Our Verdict

Sweet Loot is a nice visual diversion from the usual glazed online slots that have been released in bulk from dozens of providers in recent years. Pragmatic Play was the pioneer of this kind and will always be associated with games like Sweet Bonanza. It has been and continues to launch titles inspired by both the visuals and the mechanics of its masterpiece, like Candy Blitz Bombs, Sweet Burst, and Candy Corner.

And now, we have a corsair-themed sequel with a novice multiplier delivery system and a nice board upgrade. Those 4 symbol slots may look like a minor add-on, but they actually change the whole puzzle. Now, you have 34 places to land 8+ identical symbols, and some of them might be boosted due to the symbol-linked multipliers of up to x500.

Sweet Loot feels good from a technical perspective, too, due to the medium volatility and high RTP. The win cap is solid, although we have seen better from the provider - 10,000x. Free Spins comes with a powerful aura, too, in both regular and super modes because of the guaranteed Multiplier Symbols. So, in short and in order to conclude, Sweet Loot has a huge evolving potential, and as we know what Pragmatic Play loves to do, we should expect sequels to this one in the near future!
