Mayan Destiny is the latest online slot released by PG Soft, a mobile-first software developer, in March. The game is light, perfectly optimized, and with a rather retro layout. It is packed with a single feature, but it does have solid potential. All that is wrapped up in a volatile package with very good mathematics and a win cap.

Mayan Destiny appears in a portrait style and offers a premium quality of graphics, artwork, and animation effects. It is crisp, just like many of the other light-hearted games crafted by PG Soft. The script tells about a young high priestess, Ixil and brings us back in time during the age of the ancient Mayan Empire. Obviously, Ixil is chosen by the Sun God, and she was granted “divine power to command the sacred Wheel of Fate”.

The Mayan theme is not among the most exploited ones from the provider, and there are just several titles that can fall in. PG Soft has done pretty well here, adding a festival spirit and vibes, and the idea of celebration. The Wheel of Fate will glimpse the future under the sacred flames to uncover “gold's secrets, enlightenment, and the Sun God’s eternal blessing”. Mayan Destiny is, as expected, optimized by HTML5 and playable under Windows, Android, and iOS.

Mayan Destiny offers a fast-paced, straightforward slot gameplay with plenty of cash rolling on the reels. It is not the usual spinner with too-complex rules and features activating on every spin. On the contrary, it somehow brings me the vibes of the Mayan Gold game by 7777 Gaming, where strategy is everything. Here, strategy matters, too!

Bonus Feature is the turning point, and the Wheel can really pay big. However, the bonus triggering probability is just above 1%. The simplicity of Mayan Destiny is both an advantage and a flaw, and if you see it as the latter, the industry offers plenty of alternatives. Masked Treasures and Sun Goddess II are two of my favorites, but there are literally hundreds of titles based on Aztecs and Mayans.

These two come with high RTP rates, generous win caps, and awesome features, directed by Relax Gaming and Amatic.
