Mad Blast is all about robots and bombs, or bombs made out of scrapy robots, or something in the middle. The regular wins on the reels come with the help of 9 different exploding devices. Mad Blast Features

Mad Blast is much more than explosions, cascades, and multipliers. Total Multiplier

Total Multiplier is displayed on the left side of the grid, and it's always active. Every winning cascade doubles the multiplier value, which can reach a massive x2.048. Multiplier Boost Symbol

When it does, Multiplier Boost will increase the Total Multiplier with the displayed number of steps. The new Total Multiplier value will be available for the next cascade.

Extra Life Symbol

The Extra Life symbol is also a non-paying character, but it activates on a non-winning cascade. It removes all paying symbols on the grid, keeping only the scatters, Multiplier Boost symbols, and all instances of the most common regular icon in view. If 2 or more symbols fit that characteristic, the highest-paying regular symbol will be kept.

Free Spins & Multiplier Strike Out Features

As you can guess, scatters are the key to the Free Spins bonus in Mad Blast! You will need at least 3 of the Mad Head symbols to activate the minigame. However, the size and lavishness of the bonus depend on the number of triggering scatters, as shown below. Each Mad Head in the bonus adds an extra free spin to the remaining balance:

Theme & Graphics

Mad Blast fits the type of games you would expect from a provider like Push Gaming. There is a certain dose of creativity here, although the robo entity that runs the shop is displayed in a rather comedic manner. There are plenty of explosions in the slot, smaller or larger, but there is no script and nothing more than what the eyes can see in the base game.

Push Gaming is among the industry-renowned builders of premium-quality slot games, although it doesn't boast the biggest portfolio. The company has proven its ability to entertain the iGaming audience with award-winning titles like Razor Shark, Wild Swarm, and Jammin’ Jars. Mad Blast is something different!

And I mean not in a bad way, but different than the vibe of these older slots. They might have legendary status, but they are victims of progress, and Mad Blast is more comparable to their sequels. Probably because of that, the game is already showing good results across partnering casinos.

Furthermore, only a month after Mad Blast, Push Gaming is ready with a clone - Candy Blast, a rather strange step ahead. The company is not among those who release filler games just to entertain a specific group of gamblers. Perhaps we see a change of course, or this is just an isolated case, or another isolated case.

Anyway, Mad Blast is worth the spin, even if you find too many similarities with DoubleMax online slots. I was a bit frustrated by the fact that the Total Multiplier value is not persistent in the bonus minigame. However, that would make the game less dynamic, significantly reducing the number of wins.
