Our Verdict

Visually, Ammit Treasure echoes the original Ammit game, but Wishbone deserves credit for crafting a new setting and subtly redesigning the Ammit god himself. Personally, I found the pyramid backdrop in the first game more captivating though, with its animated clouds adding a dynamic touch. The static backdrop in Ammit Treasure makes it feel slightly less polished. However, the Ammit god beside the reels has received a visual upgrade, exhaling what appears to be frost smoke and fixing you with a mesmerizing gaze. The symbols remain largely unchanged, except for the treasure chest, and their values are consistent.

The Pyramid symbol still offers the chance to win random jackpots, adding tension to the base game, especially with the possibility of landing the 6,000x max win in a single Pyramid jackpot spin. While the max win has been slightly increased, it's not a substantial enough change to make a significant impact. Both games share a volatile nature, and it's puzzling that Wishbone hasn't introduced more dramatic changes in this sequel. You can still upgrade the bonus win guarantee, but the base game cash collection system is a fresh and welcome addition. It adds another layer of engagement, particularly with the ability to upgrade the cash collector multiplier.

Curiously, the bonus round multiplier trail maxes out at x5 in this follow-up, compared to x10 in the original game. This might be a way to compensate for the new base game cash collect feature, which is understandable. If you enjoyed the original Ammit, there's no reason not to give Ammit Treasure slot a try. It's difficult to definitively declare one game superior, as both have their strengths and weaknesses. If forced to choose, we'd lean towards Ammit Treasure though, due to its slightly higher max win and the added excitement of the base game cash collection system.
