Ice Cave is a Playtech-powered slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines. Playable from 20p to £2,000 per spin, it’s available to play across desktop, mobile and tablet devices. It has a Norse mythology theme as symbols include Jarl (the son of the god Ríg), Valkyrie (who chooses those who die and live in battle), Fenrir (the monstrous wolf), Raven and Longship.

Other symbols on the reels include wealth, joy, protection, victory and power. With a blue and icy appearance, it has an air of suspense as the soundtrack is chilling. Look out for Ice Wilds as they substitute for any symbol and multiply winnings by 3x when part of a winning combination.

If Ice Wilds land on reels 3 and 4, it can freeze on the reels for all subsequent spins until the hammer wild removes it. If you enable the Feature Bet, Ice Wilds also appear on reel 5 – the Feature Bet increases your stake by 50% so the minimum stake (20p) becomes 30p per spin. One more thing, Ice Wilds wins are subject to a 5x multiplier is the Feature Bet is enabled.

The Hammer Wild also substitutes for any symbol and applies a multiplier of 3x to wins – it lands on reel 2 and removes any Ice Wilds that are frozen on the reels.

Ice Cave is quite simple really once you get going – the graphics and animations are superb and the gameplay enjoyable. Obviously both Ice and Hammer wilds will be the key to winning big but getting a few Ice Wilds for a few spins will give you the bigger wins.
