Twist San Quentin Review
Twist San Quentin is a terrific instant win game built by InOut Games and a mechanical sequel to a series started in 2025. It offers a more character-driven gameplay, but keeps the rules simple and clean, suitable for all types of players. If you are looking for a deviation from your day-to-day slot experience, this single-player challenge might fit perfectly.
InOut Games is a relatively new game studio established in 2024, but already offering more than 30 casino titles. It operates under an Anjouan Gaming license and became popular for its Crash and step-by-step instant games. In the summer of 2025, InOut Games released Twist and several months later, just for Christmas, a sequel - Twist X-mas. Now, we are ready to test the 3rd installment that offers a strong pop-culture experience.
Twist San Quentin welcomes us in the famous prison and puts us in a cell with a couple of criminals. A 3-element Wheel of Fortune is placed in between with a spinner in the middle showing different symbols. Some of them will increase the progress, others will decrease it, while the last will have no effect. The provider has added a Bonus Game, available for purchase as well. You can try it right away via the Twist San Quentin demo, or keep reading my complete review!

Twist San Quentin keeps things simple and, as always, it all starts with choosing a bet from the list. According to the “Game Rules” page in the Menu, you can stake from $0.10 to $20,000 per spin. However, most casino operators will limit the max bet to $100 or slightly higher when you switch to real money. Still, the number of betting options creates an opportunity for applying various strategies!
When you choose the bet, click the Play button to activate the Wheel spinner. It will show one of 5 symbols - soap, handcuffs, and 3 characters. The first one has no effect on your progression, while the second will decrease it by 1 step for each active character. The criminal symbols will increase the respective Wheel element with another step, activating a new multiplier.
You can cash out the sum of all active character multipliers at any moment via the Cashout button. The game also offers a couple of technical features - Autoplay and Part Cashout, which I’ll introduce later. Twist San Quentin uses a Provably Fair technology, and you can check the fairness of each game round via the “My Bet History” page in the menu. Explore the ”Provably Fair Settings” as well to learn more!
The Twist San Quentin RTP rate is 95.50%, which is significantly lower than Twist and Twist X-mas - 97%. Indeed, those are different casino games, but still, the drop will be noticed by seasoned players. The levels of volatility of these games can’t be determined, and the risk depends on the selected strategy. The Twist San Quentin max win is standard for InOut Games - $30,000.
Twist San Quentin Features
Twist San Quentin offers a standard pack of features for that type of game, with free spins at the top. Those bonus rounds are available via a solid effort or for a fixed price. The regular features include the 3 tiers of multipliers, an auto-cash-out option, and an Autoplay. All of them are explained below, so take your time!
Multipliers
The Twist San Quentin Wheel includes 3 inner elements associated with 3 cartel members: blue Soldado, green Sicario, and red El Jefe. Every time a symbol of one of them appears, a multiplier step will be taken on the respective element. If you fill an entire element, you’ll trigger an automatic payout of the final bonus - +7x, +20.50x, and Bonus Game.
If you decide to Cash Out, you will get the sum of the biggest activated multipliers for each element and the progress will be reset. Every time you spin the middle of the Wheel of Fortune, a bet will be placed. If you land the Handcuffs, a decrease in the progress of each activated element will be triggered.
- Soldado – 1.55x, 4.85x, 10x, +7x the bet.
- Sicario – 2.50x, 7.70x, 16x, 27.50x, 44x, and +20.50x the bet.
- El Jefe – 3.90x, 12.50x, 28x, 52x, 85x, 133x, and 200x the bet; Bonus Game.
Autoplay & Part Cashout
Autoplay can be very useful for this game, as it will free your hands. However, that will keep the bet at the selected levels, so the tool isn’t a good option for progressive strategies. You can choose from 5 to 100 consecutive auto spins and adjust a couple of other settings. Part Cashout is a tab available on the left side of the Cashout.
It activates when you fill at least 2 sections in any circle and allows you to securely cash out some of the accumulated winnings. This will decrease the multiplier progression, and you can continue your play. Part Cashout is a good option if you select a more conservative strategy, but not recommended if you wish to activate the Bonus Game.
Bonus Game
Bonus Game activates when you complete the red circle and allows you to win up to 500x the bet. The game engine will randomly award between 10 and 25 free spins with a symbol removing mechanic. In other words, the Handcuffs symbol will be deactivated. You’ll collect multipliers the same way as in the base game and cash out the maximum at the final free spin.

Buy Bonus
Buy Bonus is an optional feature which provides instant access to the Twist San Quentin bonus minigame. It comes with a price of 100x the bet and awards from 10 to 25 free spins. Keep in mind that the feature will not be available across markets where regulators restrict such tools. Casino sites may also exclude it at their own discretion!
Theme & Graphics
Twist San Quentin adds “a bold new tone to the familiar Twist format”, and that’s exactly about right! No more boring dark-themed designs with a single focus on the wheels. The game features a cartel gang theme with creative artwork and generic audio effects and tunes. El Jefe and Soldado are watching you from the screen in the base game, and the screen gets extra orange in the bonus game.
The theme reminds of the San Quentin script from the popular slot directed by Nolimit City. Of course, the gameplay is much simpler and character-driven, built to deliver a straightforward experience with a distinct identity and memorable style. On the other hand, Twist San Quentin is a complete reskin of Twist X-Mas, offering the same multiplier values, features, and bonuses. Both games are fully compatible with mobile devices (Android & iOS).
Twist San Quentin Free Play
Find the Twist San Quentin free play mode and have a free session whenever you like. The demo will always be at your disposal, just like the whole InOut Games portfolio. If you feel intrigued by the title, make sure to spend some time with the free mode. Try different techniques, upgrade your favorite strategies, or simply have fun with no strings attached!
Pros And Cons Of Twist San Quentin Game
Pros
- Engaging theme and advanced Twist play
- Wheel with 3 circles of multipliers
- Autoplay and Part Cashout features
- Bonus Game with no Handcuffs symbols
- Buy Bonus (optional)
- Win up to $30,000
Cons
- RTP rate is lower than usual
- Practical reskin of Twist X-Mas
Our Verdict
Twist San Quentin develops the InOut Games format by adding a personality-focused gameplay. That’s actually something new in the field, as other studios offering Wheel-based games use a more general approach. Twist San Quentin pulls back the payout potential of the other Twist installments, but it remains competitive.
Perhaps the most complex and creative casino games with Wheels instead of reels come from the factory of RAW iGaming. Twist San Quentin has the same RTP rate as the top variants of titles like Mad Joker SuperSlice Zones and Wheels of Rock. At the same time, the Bonus Game is simple and enticing enough to motivate players to keep the progression going all the El Jefe way!
