It’s a proven retention trick, and it also explains why they slapped it onto their most recognisable IP instead of rolling out a fresh idea. Still, for long-time Razor Shark fans, this ends up feeling like a letdown.

The biggest issue is the diluted upside. What made the original Razor Shark so famous was the feeling of no ceiling, even with the advertised cap sitting at 50,000x – and we’ve all seen those stories of players pushing beyond it, including that well-known 85,000x hit from a Swedish gambler. Here, you’re looking at a max win in the ~11,000x range on the top RTP build. Not so sweet. A big part of that comes from Razor Reveal being toned down, with Instant Prizes capped at 1,000x, compared to 2,500x in the original and 5,000x in Razor Returns.
