Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid Demo & Slot Review

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid Review

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid is a bespoke online slot, tailored by Maxxi Labs for Stake Casino. It is a strange choice of characters, but that only adds flavor to a game of many merits. It is actually a remake of Skulls and Souls Bonanza Coin Grid, also developed by the provider’s Slotty studio. A full reskin with all the technical specifications, mechanics, and bonus features kept!

We have linked a Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid free play mode to the review, and you can have a spin anytime. Super Stacks and Power Mode enhance the base game, while the Meter can upgrade the Hold & Win bonus. Another minigame is part of the script - Free Spins and it is only accessible with the right number of symbols!

Slot Theme And Storyline

The Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid online slot has a little grim, a little fun, and a little unorthodox vibe in reserve. It presents the two sides of a city in an entertaining cartoonish style. First, you have the rats, on the left, cunning creatures of the dark, inhabiting the sewer systems and searching for treasure amidst the trash. On the other hand, there are ravens, smart, powerful creatures that dominate the city's skies.

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid stands out with nice quality graphics, artwork, and animation effects. The audio is playful without being excessive and complements the gameplay without dominating it. Two playing boards are available: the main one to the right and another one filled with Coins to the left. Watch the action closely when Coins appear on the regular reels!

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid Slot Rules And Gameplay

The Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid game has a 5x5 grid with 40 lines, paying from the leftmost reel to the right. The left-side 5x5 board is initially locked and mimics the Coin appearance on the regular reel area. Players can benefit from various settings and technical features, including a Buy Feature menu in the upper right corner. The Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid slot is not particularly wide and allows wagers between €0.20 and €8 per spin.

Symbols And Paytable

Symbols in the game pay for 3, 4, or 5 of a kind on an active line, except for the scatter symbols, which pay from any position. Several ravens and rats appear as the high-value characters in the paytable, while the low-value ones appear in the form of varied items. A wild symbol is also in play and substitutes for all the regulars, helping you to bag more payouts. Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid Bonuses And Special Features

The Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid slot is one of the most feature-rich games crafted by Maxxi Labs so far. As the name implies, it has a secondary matrix that mimics the base grid. Moreover, a pair of bonus games can be triggered and come with special features and modifiers, like Super Stacks and Power Mode. Find out all the details in the following paragraphs:

Super Stacks

All symbols can be super stacked in different game stages heavily increasing the odds of scoring massive wins. During the base game, only regular symbols can appear in super stacks on all reels. On the flip side, during the Free Spins bonus minigame, only Wilds and Coins can be affected by the feature!

Power Mode Feature

Power Mode is a random feature, and it can trigger on any spin in the base game. The Hold & Win Meter above the reels bursts into flames, and a Coin is permanently added. Thus, during the respective round, you will need only 5 Coins or more to get the bonus, and 3 or 4 Coins to grow the Meter!

Coin Grid Feature

Coin Grid is how you get extra cash and jackpot prizes during the base game, in addition to your line wins. Coins that land on the regular grid may be transferred to the bonus grid. Activated Coins there can grow and will stay unlocked until they are paid off. That can happen only if you complete a horizontal, vertical, or corner-to-corner diagonal set. If so, the respective Coins will be evaluated and removed from the Coin Grid.

• Grand Jackpot - 5,000x the bet
• Major Jackpot - 500x the bet
• Minor Jackpot - 50x the bet
• Mini Jackpot - 15x the bet
• Cash Values - 0.50x, 1x, 1.50x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, or 10x the bet

Hold & Win Feature

Six or more Coins of any kind trigger the Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid bonus round. Hold & Win is played as usual with 3 respins, which reset anywhere a new symbol appears. It is played on an expanding grid of 5x5 plus 3 extra rows. They are locked at the beginning of the regular bonus mode and can be unlocked while playing. The triggering Coins are sticky, as are all the others that may appear. Several Special Coins may also land:

• Cash Collect Booster Coin - a Collector Symbol that collects all cash values currently in view.
• Persistent Cash Collect Boost Coin - collects all cash values in view on every respin.
• 2x Multiplier Boost Coin - adds an x2 multiplier to 1 to 4 random Coins.
• Persistent 2x Multiplier Boost Coin - doubles the values of 1 to 4 random Coins on every spin.
• Unlock Booster Coin - unlocks one additional row.
• Extra Chance Booster Coin - activates when all respins are over to award an extra respin for another chance to reset the counter.
• Hold & Win Jackpot Coins - Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand land with random countdowns. They will decrease by -1 per respin, and if any jackpot completes the associated countdown, the prize will be awarded.
• Hold & Win Cash Coins - award 0.50x, 1x, 1.50x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, or 12x the bet

Every time you land 4 or 5 Coins during the base game or free spins, the Hold & Win Meter will grow. Thus, you can unlock up to 3 special modes by reaching the respective tiers. Max Mode starts with a fully unlocked 5x8 grid. Multiplier Mode is also played on a 5x8 but it also guarantees a Persistent 2x Multiplier Boost Coin. Collector Mode starts with all rows unlocked and includes a guaranteed Persistent Cash Collect Boost Coin.

Free Spins Feature

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid by Maxxi Labs is also packed with a Free Spins bonus round. It activates when you have 3 or more scatter symbols in view during the base game. You will get 10 free spins during which Wild Symbols and Coins are super stacked on every round.

Buy Feature

Buy Feature is, by the rule of thumb, optional and may not be available in all regions. Moreover, some of the options in the menu may be unavailable above certain bets. The Bonus Buy functionality does not provide access to the Free Spins bonus, but to the Hold & Win modes. Each one comes with a fixed price as shown below:

• Hold & Win - 50x the bet
• Hold & Win Max Mode - 95x the bet
• Hold & Win Multiplier Mode - 120x the bet
• Hold & Win Collect Mode - 200x the bet

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid RTP, Volatility And Max Win

The Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid is close to the rate we the players and analyzers like to consider an industry average - 96.05%. The game is characterized by very high levels of volatility, so make sure to have a strategy in mind. I can’t say that the Hit Frequency rate is too high and the Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid max win is worth a try - 13,283x the bet.

You can keep the memory on your smartphone or tablet as no mobile app download is required. Instead, you can play Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid game on Android and iOS via any browser, including Chrome and Safari.

Strategy & Tips For Winning

Despite the relatively tight betting range, a progressive Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid strategy is still possible due to the 25 stake tiers. But in such volatile slots, I prefer more conservative tactics and techniques that don’t waste much of my balance. Flat bets combined with a larger budget and a clear goal may deliver the same results as slot-adapted Martingale. Here are a few other thoughts of mine:

• Don’t skip the Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid free play mode;
• Double-check the licenses and certificates of the casino;
• Look for a suitable bonus or free spins package;
• Play the Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid slot machine with a budget;
• Never chase losses and keep your emotions under control;
• Don’t overuse the Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid Bonus Buy features.

The 200 Spins Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid Experience

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid is full of action and paid out plenty of times during my 200-spin session. Most of the line wins were negligibly small, but the Coin Grid paid 29x, 21.50x, 21.50x, and 12.50x the bet. Moreover, despite the fact that I was unable to fill out the Meter to any of the special modes, I had the Hold & Win twice and won 37.70x and 56.50x, respectively. I didn’t get the Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid free spins, but my test ended with a solid 27% profit.

Final Thoughts

Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid feels even stronger than Skulls and Souls Bonanza Coin Grid due to its potentially more thoughtful theme. The mechanics, well, they are playful and pretty much every spin adds something either to the balance or a progressive feature. The coin grid, power mode, and bonus meter are all a nice touch, yet they have been far from being groundbreaking.

Still, I like the concept of building momentum through seemingly "empty" or “near-empty” spins. Super Stacks are also nice and evolve massively during the Free Spins mode. All in all, the Rats vs Ravens Coin Grid slot can be quite a hit, and its exclusivity makes it even more desirable. It has the flame and the payout potential, but mind those high levels of volatility!
