Mission Vegas Review
Mission Vegas is a new Las Vegas slot spectacle directed by the UK gaming developer Platipus. A new challenge rises under the Sin City spotlight powered by a company with a proven background in crafting visually appealing and technically mind-blowing casino games. It's packed with jackpots, diamonds, and plenty of features to get your adrenaline pumping!
Platipus has been quite busy in the past few months and decided to take a break from the Aztec adventures and bring its fans to a well-known place. Indeed, Totem Mystique and Mystery Stones were exciting enough to keep the attention on a provider with significant potential and more than 120 HTML5 games in its fold.
Well, the Mission Vegas slot is another type of play, featuring a Neon theme, according to the provider. It's based on the concept of money, lux, and diamonds that surround lucky players in Vegas. The grid is large, framed with gold and lights, divided into 5 reels and 3 rows, on a nice purple backdrop.
Spins are smooth with nicely designed symbols landing one after another or fast-paced via the Turbo Mode on. The tech feature pack also includes a not particularly sophisticated Autoplay, Buy Feature, and several other control settings. The payout system is basic and generates 10 fixed paylines on each spin.
They always start from the first reel, which is the leftmost one, and continue to the right, awarding nice prizes for 3, 4, or 5 matches. Visually, Mission Vegas is nice, and the sound performance enhances the spectacular atmosphere created by the provider. Like all other Platipus games, it's fully compatible with mobile devices (Android & iOS).
On top of the grid are displayed 3 fixed jackpots linked to the selected total bet, while on the left is the Prize leaderboard. It's part of the Respins feature, which I'll introduce in a while. Mission Vegas also offers Wheels of Luck and Free Spins features, as well as wild and scatter symbols.

The Wild symbol substitutes for all regular figures and helps players to form more frequent and juicier winning combinations. If lined up, it pays the highest prizes, along with the Diamond Bag - 3x, 10x, and 20x the bet. These two symbols are the only ones to award for 2 of a kind on a line - 0.50x the bet.
Gold Bars, Cash, and Coins pay up to 10x, 6x, and 5x, respectively, while the low-valued Poker Chips, Cards, and Dice pay up to 2x the stake. The Diamond scatters may land anywhere on the grid and don't pay cash but are your way to the Level Up prizes on the left.
Mission Vegas offers punters line wagers of €0.10 to €10 or total bets between €1 and €100 per spin. I'm not sure that this range will suit low rollers and high rollers, especially since there are only 7 stake levels. Anyway, that is what you get, along with medium levels of volatility and a Hit Frequency rate of 15.23%.
Strategy players will quickly find that to be quite intriguing, especially with the Mission Vegas RTP of an astonishing 97.15%. Of course, alternative versions with lower rates may also circulate the vast casino network, so my advice is to keep your eyes open. Sadly, the max win isn’t so exciting - 1,261x the bet, or up to a mediocre €126,100.
Mission Vegas Features
Mission Vegas is designed entirely to the developer's affinity to provide plenty of creative features. In this particular case, you will not find anything innovative or surprisingly complex but simple modifiers, minigames, and jackpots. Still, the combination isn't bad at all, so let's dig a bit deeper into the mechanics!
Respins Feature
Five Diamond scatters or more in view at the same time trigger the Respins feature. All of them are held, and the other positions respin to land either Diamonds or Blanks. If at least one more scatter appears, another respin is awarded. This sequence continues until the whole grid is filled with scatters or a respin ends with blanks only.
Depending on the final number of Diamonds in view, you will one of the following:
- 15 Diamonds - Grand Jackpot of 1,000x the bet
- 14 Diamonds - Major Jackpot of 250x the bet
- 13 Diamonds - Minor Jackpot of 100x the bet
- 12 Diamonds - Blue Wheel Spin
- 11 Diamonds - Purple Wheel Spin
- 10 Diamonds - Red Wheel Spin
- 5 to 9 Diamonds - 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, and 25x the bet
Wheels of Luck Feature
Players can trigger the Wheels of Luck draw by landing 10, 11, or 12 Diamond scatters or 3, 4, or 5 Bonus Wheel symbols, simultaneously. Each one has 8 sectors filled with cash prizes, free spins, or Wheel upgrades (Blue and Purple only). Moreover, each can award a transition to the Jackpot Wheel!
Blue Wheel:
- Cash Prizes - 10x, 30x, or 50x the bet
- Free Spins - 8 or 12 free spins
- Upgrade - transition to the Purple Wheel
- Jackpot Wheel
Purple Wheel:
- Cash Prizes - 20x, 40x, or 60x the bet
- Free Spins - 10 or 15 free spins
- Upgrade - transition to the Red Wheel
- Jackpot Wheel
Red Wheel:
- Cash Prizes - 25x, 50x, or 75x the bet
- Free Spins - 12 or 15 free spins
- Jackpot Wheel
The Jackpot Wheel is the ultimate prize in this bonus minigame, and it contains only jackpots. You can either win the Grand (1,000x), Major (250x), or Mini (100x), and it will be added to your current prize!

Free Spins Bonus
The Free Spins bonus can be started from the Wheels of Luck feature only, and initially, it started with 8, 10, 12, or 15 spins. The 11-level leaderboard on the grid's left side is replaced with a new 10-tiered scale. Diamonds are collectible during this bonus, and every 5 awards a transition on a new level.
This upgrade adds 3 extra free spins to the remaining balance, and a total of 50 Diamonds can be collected. At the end of the minigame, the prize corresponding to the level reached will be added to the total payout. Here are all the featured rewards:
- 50 Diamonds (Lvl 10) - Grand Jackpot
- 45 Diamonds (Lvl 9) - Major Jackpot
- 40 Diamonds (Lvl 8) - Minor Jackpot
- 5 to 35 Diamonds (Lvl 1 to 7) - 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 40x, and 50 the bet

Feature Buy
Mission Vegas is packed with a Bonus Buy tool, which, if available, can be activated via a tab in the upper right corner of the screen. You can buy the Wheels of Luck feature, and the asking price is 55x the bet. In return, on the following spin, you will receive 3, 4, or 5 Bonus Wheel symbols.

Our Verdict
At first, Mission Vegas looks like an ordinary game with brilliance on the reels and hefty promises by the indicators. Very few will remain apathetic to an online slot with an RTP of 97.15% and medium volatility. However, these are not the only qualities of the Platipus machine!
It's been a while since Gameburger Studios released 9 Masks Of Fire and other similar games from the batch. Lots of competing studios followed the trend, and more than a hundred similar titles were launched in the next several years. However, almost neither of them stands out from the original with something valuable.
One of the latest Lotus Dynasty is packed with a fixed-jackpot scale and sticky wilds, but that's pretty much all. Make no mistake, this game is one of the finest ever released by Red Rake, at least according to players. And here, Mission Vegas steps in with Bonus Wheels, Respins, and Free Spins.
Indeed, the title is a bit far away from 9 Masks of Fire, but I see it as a heavily enhanced upgrade. The lack of modifiers makes the base game a little slow and even boring for those who prefer feature-packed games. Still, patience will be rewarded because Las Vegas is a city made of dreams!
