Heist Guys 2 Review
On July 7, 2026, ELK will release Heist Guys 2, a sequel to the crime-themed game featuring impressive jumping Wilds and a turn-based bonus game. And here, the x10,000 multiplier is once again up for grabs, though there are some significant changes. The action now takes place on a smaller 5x4 grid (the original title had a 6x6 grid), where you have 1,024 betways available for forming symbol combinations. The Avalanche mechanic is once again the star of the show here, removing symbols involved in a winning sequence to give you a chance to win again without placing a new bet.
ELK now offers a more fair RTP of 96%, though this may vary in certain parts of the game. But the volatility has increased slightly. And we now have a medium-high rating, suggesting slightly more frequent dry spells. Before playing a round, you need to select a bet size ranging from 0.20 to 100 euros. And if you decide to risk the max possible amounts, you could theoretically land a combo paying out 1 million euros, which is pretty good. As for the combos themselves, you simply need to land identical symbols from left to right on adjacent reels, starting with the leftmost one.

The A, K, and Q card symbols once again serve as low-paying symbols here, and they appear on the grid quite often. There are also medium-paying Dynamite, Gun, and Key symbols, plus three robber characters capable of forming combos with more impressive multipliers. The developers also made sure to add something special, so from time to time, players will see the Super Wild, Bonus Bell, Super Bonus Bell, and State Symbol, which trigger the extras.
| Symbol | Payouts/Info |
|---|---|
| Red Guy | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.50, x0.30, x0.20 bet |
| Green Guy | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.50, x0.30, x0.20 bet |
| Blue Guy | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.50, x0.30, x0.20 bet |
| Dynamite | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.30, x0.15, x0.10 bet |
| Gun | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.30, x0.15, x0.10 bet |
| Key | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.30, x0.15, x0.10 bet |
| A | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.20, x0.10, x0.05 bet |
| K | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.20, x0.10, x0.05 bet |
| Q | 5, 4, 3 of a kind = x0.20, x0.10, x0.05 bet |
| Super Wild | Always present on the grid and substitutes for all paying icons. Can also reposition to a random empty spot before each refill |
| Bonus Bell | 3+ in one round launch Bonus Drops without option to retrigger |
| Super Bonus Bell | 1+ among collected Bonus Bells upgrades the reward to Super Bonus Drops |
| State Symbol | Collected at the round end and fills the State Jar by one level or empties it to award a random prize |
Heist Guys 2 Features
Even the original 2025 title wasn’t just a pretty slot with avalanche mechanics. In that game, ELK offered us a host of interesting features that led to impressive multipliers. And the sequel features an entire ecosystem of extras that complement each other perfectly, with many of them available right in the base game.
Super Wild
This is the cornerstone of the entire Heist Guys 2 gameplay, and there’s always at least one of them on the grid. As befits a Wild, this icon substitutes for regular symbols to help you form combos more often. And if a Super Wild is part of a winning sequence, you’ll see a x2 bonus multiplier that can double with each subsequent cascade. If there were multiple Super Wilds in a combo, their multipliers add up to further boost your winning potential. An important feature is that these symbols aren’t static. That is, they land in a random empty position after each avalanche to add more unpredictability to the action. But it leaves the grid before the start of Bonus Drops or Super Bonus Drops and then reappears, albeit without a multiplier.
State Jar
Sometimes a horseshoe lands on the grid, and it is automatically collected at the end of the round. Next to the reels, you can see a savings jar that increases by one level each time this happens. And when it overflows, it awards you a random prize, such as an extra payout or the activation of one of two bonus modes, like the Heist Game. But keep in mind that the visual state of this piggy bank does not affect the outcome, since everything here depends solely on chance.
Bonus Drops
This title also features Bonus Bells, and these symbols can appear in literally any round. Your goal is to collect at least three of them to trigger 8 to 12 drops, during which the Super Wild retains its accumulated multiplier and moves to a new position. The collected characters remain in your inventory between drops. And during this bonus round, you may trigger the Heist Game. If this happens, you’ll be able to play out the remaining drops once the bonus game ends.
Super Bonus Drops
This is an improved version of the previous bonus mode. To trigger it, you need to have at least one Super Bonus Bell among the Bonus Bells. In terms of the number of drops you receive, everything here works the same as in the regular bonus. But the main difference is that in the first Super Bonus Drop, at least two Super Wilds without multipliers are guaranteed to appear on the grid. And this significantly speeds up the process of building up your multiplier.

Heist Game
So here we are at the game’s central and arguably most spectacular feature. To enter this mode, you need to collect all three “guys” tokens during bonus drops into your inventory. But there are also alternative ways to trigger it through the State Jar or via X-iter. In this case, the characters will start moving toward the bank, since this level is all about a heist. Here are a few important things to keep in mind in this mode:
- The map features rooms with coin prizes and safes of three different quality levels; the highest-quality safes may contain coin payouts, multipliers (applied instantly to your current heist winnings), keys, dynamite, weapons, or upgrades for the safe itself.
- There are also guards here, and if your character is spotted, they can be caught. But having a weapon in your inventory will save your guy.
- If your character encounters a bush along the way, they’ll hide in it and safely pass by the guard.
- A guard can catch your character and throw them in jail. And if another character reaches such a cell on the board, they’ll free the prisoner, who will then rejoin the gang of robbers.
- Outlaw. If a guy encounters one on his path and has a weapon in his arsenal, he’ll neutralize the outlaw and receive its value. But if he doesn’t have a weapon, a standoff will begin where each successful attempt earns you a payout. If you fail, you’ll lose one of your squad members. Ultimately, the standoff continues until someone wins or all the Guys are caught.
- The key stage here is reaching the bank door. If you have a key in your inventory, success is guaranteed. Otherwise, you’ll try to pick the lock. If you fail, the Heist Game will end with a payout of all your accumulated loot.
- Your team can make it to the bank. If you have dynamite in your inventory, it’s used automatically to blow open the super safe. There, you can find large cash prizes, extra multipliers, and even the coveted max win.
There are several ways this bonus game can end. For example, you’ll exit the Heist Game immediately if the guards catch all three guys or if no one can move forward for other reasons. But there’s also the most rewarding outcome: when you hit the x10,000 total multiplier.
X-iter Bonus Buy Options
Since volatility here is above average, triggering the Heist Game and other modes doesn’t happen very often. But ELK has its signature X-iter feature. It gives you the option to purchase direct access to the desired bonus round or increase your chances of triggering it. Below, we’ve listed all 5 available options with descriptions and their costs.
| Feature | Description | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Super Bonus | Jumps straight into Super Bonus Drops with at least 2 Super Wilds already on the reels from drop one. | 250x bet |
| Buy Bonus | It gives you a guaranteed entry into the standard Bonus Drops mode. | 100x bet |
| Heist Game | Skips straight to the Heist map, with the crew is ready and the bank is waiting. | 50x bet |
| Mega Bonus Hunt | More than 7x the usual chance of hitting any bonus game or the Heist mode on the next spin. | 5x bet |
| Bonus Hunt | Grants you more than 3x the usual chance of landing any bonus game or the Heist option on your next attempt. | 2.5x bet |
Theme & Graphics
Heist Guys 2 is essentially another opportunity from ELK to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Wild West with a dash of cartoonish outlaw romance. The developers have done a truly good job of bringing to life three colorful characters, and they are the protagonists of Heist mode. They all look both menacing and comical at the same time. So here we enjoy a lighthearted, entertaining tone without the need to take it all too seriously. Thanks to the well-crafted character animations, it all looks as if a colorful Western has unfolded right on the reels. Graphically, it’s quite impressive, yet it runs smoothly on mobile devices, so you can even try Heist Guys 2 on your smartphone.

- Unique and in-depth Heist Game mechanics
- Super Wild with an increasing extra multiplier
- Five X-iter modes to suit any budget
- A reasonable RTP of 96% (may vary slightly)
- Strategic element based on an inventory system

- Basic combos yield pretty modest prizes
- Entering the Bank without a key can end the Heist Game early
Our Verdict
A full-fledged mini-game system built into the video slot’s interface is the first thing that catches your eye in this sequel. But note that the volatility feels medium-to-high in the base game. In other words, fairly long “dry” streaks alternate with enjoyable avalanche chains that trigger Super Wilds and their multipliers. But this title truly comes into its own during the Heist Game.
So, the Heist is truly the highlight of the game, and it adds a sense of narrative that’s missing from most slots with similar payout potential. Meanwhile, Bonus Drops and its Super variant serve as welcome additions where the payout potential remains quite high, especially when the Super Wild multiplier is active. But let’s not forget about the unique bonus buy features. The Heist Game via X-iter for 50x the bet and the Mega Bonus Hunt for 5x proved particularly useful in practice, as they genuinely offer a reasonable balance between cost and value. On the other hand, the Super Bonus at 250x the bet is clearly too expensive and definitely not an option for beginners. If you haven’t played the original title, you might recall Nitropolis and Cygnus from the same developer, ELK, as they also successfully combine avalanche mechanics with progressive multipliers.
