Fortune Zombie Dark City Demo & Game Review

Fortune Zombie Dark City Game Review

Fortune Zombie Dark City is an arcade shooting game launched by TaDa Gaming as the 3rd instalment to the Fortune Zombie series. It offers a brand-new Hollywood Walk of Fame setting and a fresh set of boss creatures: Soul Bride, Reaper, Rock Skeleton, Ringmaster and King Kong. They activate various effects and bonus features, including the musical masterpiece Rock Guitar Solo.

Fortune Zombie Dark City continues the provider’s expansion in the franchise after the sequel Fortune Zombie Lightning. There are several new Bonus Games, but also enemies returning players will easily recognize. Rushdown, Kaboomber, Cookdoom, and Gargoyles pay ranging cash rewards and execute special effects. Several interactive features are also at hand for better control, which you can test via the Fortune Zombie Dark City free play link above.

TaDa Gaming - Game Developer

TaDa Gaming is an easily recognizable brand in the iGaming industry with more than 260 released slots and games. The company was founded in 2019, and currently, it is certified and licensed by a number of trusted organizations and regulators. Besides fascinating online slots, TaDa Gaming masterfully crafts Fishing Arcades and Shooters, like the Fortune Zombie series.

Game Theme And Storyline

Fortune Zombie Dark City is one of the few Horror games in the provider’s portfolio. Other arcade shooters like the Royal Shooter series, Ocean King Jackpot, and Mega Fishing are more light-hearted variants of the game under the spotlight. The action moves to a post-apocalyptic setting, offering scenes like a graveyard, a park, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which can transform into a live rock concert stage.

Fortune Zombie Dark City differs from the previous games in the series by its polished graphics, darker atmosphere, and cinematic animation effects. New Zone and King class creatures are on the field and offer memorable battles. The audio effects are epic, as usual, and some rock n roll will appeal to fans of the genre. In short, this might be the best link in the chain from an audio-visual perspective.

Fortune Zombie Dark City Game Rules And Gameplay

The Fortune Zombie Dark City game starts with the selection of a turret. The normal gun costs a bet from €0.10 to €100 per shot, while the Railgun will triple the price. However, it is also more powerful and might be the only way to kill the bosses and special creatures. Here is a list of the interactive features:

• Auto - set an auto shoot at selected targets.
• Lock - lock on specific targets and bypass the other enemies.
• Railgun - a more powerful weapon that triples the stake.

These features help you optimize and facilitate your play, but you need to keep them under a close eye. Each one can quickly drain your account, especially if you play with more valuable bullets. Once you choose the bet, turret, and auto settings, you can start shooting around. Fortune Zombie Dark City is quite straightforward, and every shot is guaranteed to hit a target. Now, let’s see what you are about to shoot at!

Creatures And Paytable

TaDa Gaming has added several types of zombies and special creatures in this shooter. Naturally, the smaller enemies are easier to kill, but they bring smaller prizes, too. Even the bosses can fall down after a single shot, so the odds are 100% random as usual. Or, you may need several hits to kill the minions. Take your time and explore the enemies and associated payouts before continuing further with my Fortune Zombie Dark City review.

Fortune Zombie Dark City Bonuses And Special Features

Fortune Zombie Dark City by TaDa Gaming differs in terms of script and event sequence. All creatures may appear since there are no different rooms to choose from. The Medium and Special zombies have animated effects that always kick in after taking them down. The Zone & King zombies, or the so-called Bosses, trigger bonus games, too:

Bonus Game

The Reaper can unleash a magical attack when hit and trigger a Bonus Game. A base multiplier is first selected from 30x to 50x the bet. Next, you have to pick from Magic Cards and reveal a multiplier of x1, x2, x3, x4, or x5. It will boost the base multiplier to provide the total win from the feature.

Rock Skeleton & Guitar Solo

If you capture the Rock Skeleton, there is a chance for a continuous Rock Guitar Solo performance. A live concert stage appears on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the character triggers a spectacular guitar attack. Every hit on a zombie turns into a win, and the total is 1,200x the bet.

Wheel Feature

Ringmaster appears carrying its Fortune Wheel, and a successful hit can award 3 spins on it with potential retriggers. Each spin can pay from 20x to 200x the bet, and you will win the total of all spins.

Tower Climbs, Knockdown Bonus & Rage Evolution

Rage Evolution is related to the Baby Kong. Whenever it is hit, the Rage Meter on top will progress. Fill it out entirely to evolve the Baby Kong to King Kong. If that happens, the scene will shift to the Empire State Building and the Ultimate Hunt feature will begin. King Kong starts climbing the Tower and awards a base win of 50x to 100x the bet. Climb higher to obtain a multiplier of x2, x4, x7, or x10. At any stage during the climb, the Knockdown Bonus can trigger and award a prize of 15x.

Jackpot System

Jackpot System is not exactly a Fortune Zombie Dark City bonus round but a progressive jackpot mechanic. Grand, Major, and Mini are active during the whole time and every zombie kill has the chance to trigger one of the pots. Keep in mind that 0.50% of every bet is added to the jackpots in a 40:30:30 ratio.

I tested it on both Android and iOS devices, and it proved to run smoothly if the Internet connection is stable and fast. You can play Fortune Zombie Dark City game in any visualization mode, but for optimal experience, I recommend the horizontal one.

Strategy & Tips For Winning

There is more than one Fortune Zombie Dark City strategy, and it all depends on your gambling profile and desire to experiment. In recent years, I've noted that gamblers feel more and more comfortable exploring unusual gambling genres. In Shooters, you can select one or several targets to hunt and choose from single shots or auto play.

There are different techniques depending on whether you are after the easy cash, or you are ready to risk and take down a special creature. In any case, make sure to remember the following:

• Start with the Fortune Zombie Dark City free play mode;
• Try different strategies and tactics before switching to real money;
• Select only online casinos with valid licenses and certificates;
• Play the Fortune Zombie Dark City machine with a budget;
• Do not rush and stay within the pre-selected strategy;
• Look for a casino bonus usable on this type of game;
• Use the Railgun carefully and watch out the remaining balance.

The 200 Rounds Fortune Zombie Dark City Experience

Fortune Zombie Dark City can easily turn into a massacre, especially if you switch on the Railgun turret. I used it for my 200-round test, and the session ended with almost 50% on top of my initial balance. My strategy was to target zombies worth below or equal to 9x the bet and some special creatures. For example, I took down the Rushdown zombie twice and cashed out heavily. Moreover, the biggest wins came from Ringmaster’s Wheel Feature, which activates 3 times in a row from a single appearance.

Final Thoughts

Fortune Zombie Dark City adds an even more horrifying flavor to TaDa Gaming’s series. To be honest, this is exactly the type of atmosphere you’d expect with a name that includes zombies. The game is created especially for North American players and offers iconic places like the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Empire State Building.

Moreover, the Fortune Zombie Dark City game offers a new set of Zone and King creatures with magnificent looks. They can trigger spectacular effects and bonus features and deliver up to 1,500x. Well, that maximum could have been higher, and that seems to be the only issue with the title. It is not for everyone, that is certain, but fans of casino arcade shooters will be thrilled!
