So, is Cash Crooks a bad slot? Not at all. It looks cute, plays nicely, and has a much more approachable rhythm than some of the Hacksaw releases it clearly borrows from. At the same time, that’s exactly where the problem sits. Cash Crooks feels very toned down in comparison to the games it builds upon. Obviously, it aims at a different segment of players, and that’s fair enough, but mechanically, there isn’t anything here that feels new. It mostly takes an existing idea, softens the edges, and wraps it in a charming cartoon robbery theme.

Overall, Cash Crooks is a competent and very playable slot, just not a particularly bold one.
