ELK seems inspired by the Japanese action-thriller classic, Battle Royale, from 2000, and the bunnies in Rabbit Royale are certainly up to the task. They are armed to their razor sharp incisor teeth with heavy weaponry, and they do not like other rabbits coming too close. The drama plays out on a sinister looking farm, with the sunrise casting long, ghostly shadows over the rural landscape in the background.

It’s a somewhat unusual presentation overall, not least for being ELK, and the battling rabbits theme is not exactly mainstream stuff either. The main attraction is the Rabbit Respins feature, where carrot prizes are collected by up to 5 rabbits at the same time. You can start with all 5 from the get-go in the bonus round, at least under certain conditions, and this can lead to payouts up to a solid 25,000x your stake.

You need a Rabbit symbol in view, together with carrot symbols, to trigger the Rabbit Respins feature. The carrot symbols can land organically, or be revealed by wild symbols that are part of a win, and they come with cash prizes up to 10x. The rabbit eats/collects all carrot prizes in view, and this happens after the line win calculation.

All rabbits remain in play for the duration of the bonus round, and you can land new rabbits unless you’ve already reached the 5 rabbits limit. Review Summary

We like the spooky crack of dawn farmhouse backdrop in this game, and it sticks out from what ELK normally does. The rabbits look more sly than charming in this release, but you don’t mind too much when they are munching away at carrot prizes. The Rabbit Respins feature can go on for quite a while in all stages of the game, and it’s a sight to behold when 5 of them are moving around eating anything of orange color in view.

The rabbits are pretty territorial as well, despite sharing all the carrots brotherly between them, and they do not like when other rabbits get too close. They pull out an arsenal that makes Rambo look like a peace activist when that happens, and basically take turns stealing each other's accrued prize value. This is all to your benefit, of course, and the 25,000x potential is solid for a medium to high volatility installment. The 94 % RTP is not so solid, however, and it will probably be a dealbreaker for some players.
