Jammin Jars 2 slot review
The original Jammin' Jars was not only a smash hit from Push Gaming, it was also an instant mood lifter. We can assure you that this is very much the case for this follow-up title also, and Jammin’ Jars 2 is pretty much a dream come true for all grid slot fans. As reviewers, we are at loss in pointing out a single significant flaw with this highly anticipated sequel.
The colorful and fruity charm factor is taken to a new level with the Giga Jar DJ grooving by your side, and he does more than just spin discs. They’ve also managed to create the perfect balance between paying respect to what worked in the old game, while still adding more than enough fresh features to thrill both new and existing fans. The big highlight is the brand new Giga Spins bonus round, but it might take a while before you get to see that one in action.

Jammin’ Jars 2 Features
The cascading wins mechanic removes winning clusters, and this makes new and existing symbols drop down to fill the gaps. This process repeats as long as you keep winning, and you also have the Wild Jam Jar symbol that steps in for all regular pay symbols. The Wild Jar moves around from win to win, increasing its multiplier by +1 each time.
The blue instant prize tiles need to land in a cluster of 5+ to generate a win, same as ordinary symbols. The difference is that the number on these tiles are summed up, and that’s the prize you win. The instant prize on the tiles varies between 1x and 1,000x your stake, but you will seldom see a tile above 100x.
The Fruit Blast feature is similar to the Rainbow feature from the first game, and it will trigger at random times after a cascade. You’ll see an equalizer do its thing on the reels, and the Giga Jar DJ shoots 1 to 3 mega fruits that splash down on the grid. These turn into clusters of matching symbols, which guarantees a decent win.
You need at least 3 Wild Jars in sight at the same time to trigger the Bonus Round. You get 6 free spins, and the triggering wild jars move around the grid throughout the feature. They jump to a new position per spin, and their non-resetting multipliers increase by +1 for every win they take part in.
Whenever you land a gold vinyl symbol, it flies off the grid to be collected by the Giga Jar DJ. The DJ Jar on the left-hand side has 5 levels, and collecting enough vinyls upgrades the game’s RTP as follows:
- Level 1 - 96.10 % overall RTP (this is the default starting level).
- Level 2 - collect 20 vinyls to upgrade the RTP to 96.2 %.
- Level 3 - collect 25 vinyls to upgrade the RTP to 96.3 %.
- Level 4 - collect 30 vinyls to upgrade the RTP to 96.4 %.
- Level 5 - collect 35 vinyls to upgrade the RTP to 96.6 %.
Reaching level 5 also gives you the chance to trigger the Giga Jar feature. This feature triggers at random times when a gold vinyl lands, and this clears the whole grid. The Giga Jar DJ adds 3 or 4 wild jars, and DJ Giga Jar himself lands as a 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 sticky instant prize mega symbol.
You then get 8 Giga Spins, and all instant prize symbols that land remain on the reels for the duration of the feature. The wild jars function exactly like in the regular bonus round, and instant price symbols can also award +1 or +2 extra spins.
The 200 Spins Jammin’ Jars 2 Experience
Our 4 and a half minute highlights video starts with a single wild jar jumping around, but 1 soon turns into 3. This triggers the bonus round that plays out for most of the video. In the end we’ve also included the randomly triggered Fruit Blast feature, which awarded a decent payout to round it all off. Smash the play button below to see it all for yourself!
Follow-up slots are never easy to get right, and especially not when the first game was an instant classic smash hit. Push Gaming has made it all seem so simple with Jammin’ Jars 2, and it should go down as a textbook example of how to do sequels. The upgraded visuals now come with far more depth and aliveness, and DJ Giga Jar himself is not only present, but he even takes center stage during the main headliner Giga Spins feature.
The RTP level-up feature wouldn’t be all that if it wasn’t for the Giga Spins plateau you reach in the end, but the overall RTP is above average anyway. The 20,000x potential from the original game was already solid, and just like everything else has been boosted significantly, you can now win up to 50,000x your stake. This would be one heck of a multiplier dance to behold for sure. However, when you lose yourself in this colorful, fruity and super-engaging jam, winning almost feels less important than just having a grand ole’ time.
