Our Verdict

You have to be in a particular mood to appreciate a game like 4 Crazy Cluckers, or at the very least, this mood has to be easy to bring forth in you. I'm not a huge fan of these types of wacky, cartoonish, slapstick slots myself. However, I will try my best to be neutral and unbiased in my conclusions. On the bright side, there wasn’t as much poultry noise in this game as I feared initially, which may be a relief for some players. Of course, I get that many players enjoy this kind of crazy humor, and there is plenty of that to go around in 4 Crazy Cluckers.

The soundtrack fits the bill perfectly for this game, and combined with the cartoon-style visuals, a lighthearted and playful atmosphere is established from the get-go. The personality of each chicken is crafted with thought and attention to detail, and especially the golden egg chicken, sporting sunglasses and bling, stands out in a fun way. They all have their unique antics and soundbites, as you may expect, but, luckily, the game never feels overwhelming in this regard.

When I saw the chickens above the grid, I immediately thought this would be one of those games where you can trigger the bonus round with a combination of different extra features. However, Playtech Origins has not gone down that well-trodden path with the 4 Crazy Cluckers slot. Instead, each chicken represents a unique bonus, making this a feature-rich experience with multiple ways to trigger these highlights.

The free spins round seems to trigger more frequently than the other features, at least in my experience, and it does deliver some excitement with up to 3 wild reels per spin. Closing in on the relatively moderate 2,339x max win is probably more likely in the other Egg bonuses, though, since they can deliver jackpots of up to 2,000x your stake. The Golden Spin bonus is by far the most lucrative feature, and therefore rarely seen. With a higher potential, 4 Crazy Cluckers would’ve been more worthwhile, but it’s still a solid game for those who care more about entertainment value than win caps.
