Aztec Gold Treasure falls into the category of being a variant of essentially the same game that tons of mobile-first providers keep churning out like there is no tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a well-crafted slot overall, and if it were the first of its kind, I would be all over it. However, when you have seen similar things countless times before, well, let’s just say it’s not as easy to jump up and down with joy anymore.

The Aztec theme is also typical of this type of slot, and Nextspin has done little to make the visuals stand out from the many competitors. That being said, they certainly get the job done, and the tribal soundtrack is both pleasing to the ear and good for getting that adrenaline going. The pace of the game is excellent with the turbo switched on, and you can look forward to plenty of cascading wins action in all stages of the game.

The base game is never boring, not least thanks to the progressive win multiplier that keeps increasing with each cascade. This is better than the usual Gonzo mechanic so many of these types of games offer, as there is no upper limit as to how high the win multiplier can grow.
