Nailed It! Games hasn’t done anything too drastic with this follow-up release, and you could argue that the rehashing of the visuals seems a tad lazy, like they just wanted to churn out an effortless sequel without really pouring their heart and soul into it. Raging Gods: Olympus 2 Power Combo is essentially the same game as the original but with the addition of two Greek gods, namely Hermes and Ares.

This approach would be more understandable if the original Raging Gods: Olympus were a smash hit, but that’s hardly the case if you're judging from its SlotRank. It seems a bit strange that Nailed It! Games doesn’t even try to fix the issue that may stand in the way of Raging Gods: Olympus 2 Power Combo becoming more of a success, namely the lack of base game features. That’s not exactly living up to your company name, now, is it?

The lack of any base game features is a pretty big deal, as this is where players spend most of their time. You need to give them something to spice up the experience, and in a game like Raging Gods: Olympus 2 Power Combo, why not allow the gods to activate some modifiers randomly? This would be enough to keep you going towards the bonus round, which, to be fair, seems to trigger quite frequently. At least that was the case in my test session, but stats on the hit rate would’ve been nice.

That being said, getting more than one godly power in the bonus round seemed a lot harder. At least until you trigger the super bonus, which offers a saving grace when you least expect it. I’ve never been a huge fan of this piecemeal approach. I’d much rather have a full-blown bonus round every time. Anything less feels like you're playing with one hand tied behind your back or, in this case, all four limbs with only your head free, if that makes sense. Anyway, if you didn’t like the first game, the 2 extra gods in Raging Gods: Olympus 2 Power Combo will hardly make your day.
