Landing 3 scatter symbols on the same base game spin triggers the Lift Off Luck Bonus Round, awarding 10 free spins. Where so many developers would slap on a generic candy-world theme and call it a day, you can always trust that Hacksaw does something fun and unique with their games. In Munchy Milo, they deliver a charming space-exploring character, stranded on an alien candy planet filled with popping bubbles and goodies. It’s refreshing to see that something original can be done with the popular sweets theme, and other developers can definitely take a lesson (we’re looking at you Pragmatic Play).

Hacksaw loves to alternate between grim, monochromatic nightmares and vibrant, saccharine dreamscapes, and Munchy Milo definitely falls into the latter category. The gelatinous world offers a nice little escape from everyday life, and the soundtrack is a pleasant listen that keeps the mood lighthearted. While we’ve seen far more volatile beasts from this provider, keep in mind that “medium” volatility from Hacksaw still means you need to brace yourself for some ups and downs.

In my experience, you should expect plenty of dead spins or insignificant wins between Jolt Frame triggers. It says a lot that this feature is priced at 50x your stake, and all the base game wins I got that carried any weight came from this feature and the chain reactions it can activate. It’s great fun when you get plenty of chain reactions, even if that happens somewhat rarely in the base game.
