The cheeky gorilla lives in a bamboo hut village in the tallest trees in the jungle, and you’ll see plenty of antics from this blue-furred creature in Kong It Up! Large Cash Bank.

However, let’s start with the basics. You can choose your preferred bet level via the coin stacks button, ranging from €0.1 to €150 per spin. You win by landing 3 to 5 matching symbols across up to 10 paylines on the 5x3 grid, starting from the leftmost reel. Kong It Up! Large offers a lively, colorful, and bold entry into Inspired Gaming’s popular Cash Bank series, attempting to take things to the next level in this feature-rich jungle adventure. The series has come a long way since Big Piggy Bank, the release that popularized this range and laid the foundation for later installments to build on. While the core DNA remains similar, with the main focus being on cash collection, you get a lot more bells and whistles here.

Some would perhaps say it’s a bit of a feature overload, and we get that the first impression may seem a bit chaotic until you gain an overview. You’ll soon get into the swing of things by sampling the Kong It Up! Large demo game, though, and I had a pretty good time testing this slot myself. I did miss a turbo spins option, to be honest, but the pace is overall decent, so it’s hardly a dealbreaker. I’m a sucker for fast-paced action, but I get that many players like to savor each spin.

Granted, the cash prizes you can collect in the base game are of limited value, but it helps that each banana cash symbol is added to the banana pile to potentially trigger the bonus wheel spin. The random Banana Toss modifier lends a helping hand when you least expect it, guaranteeing a spin on the bonus wheel. This wheel is at the center of the action, awarding better bonus rounds, an upgraded wheel spin, or jackpot prize pots. There is nothing really new to see in this game for veteran players, perhaps, but at least there is a lot to see.

The golden banana bonus round is the one to aim for, as those large banana cash symbols not only look cool but also represent solid prizes as well. In my experience, Fortune Spins Mode seemed more volatile, which makes sense since there are no regular wins. It’s worth a try, but be a bit careful with that one. Overall, Kong It Up! Large is a pretty solid installment in the Cash Bank series, piling on more features and options than ever before but without revolutionizing anything either. The charming theme goes a long way, though, but the max win could’ve been higher.
