The Avalanche feature triggers after any win, removing all winning symbols from the grid. All winning positions are then highlighted with a bronze frame before a new batch of symbols cascade down to fill the remaining gaps after the existing symbols have dropped to their lowest possible positions. This process repeats as long as you keep winning, and if bronze-framed positions are part of new wins, they are upgraded with a silver, then gold, and finally a diamond frame.

I’m always excited whenever a heist slot lands on my proverbial desk for a review, as this is one of my favorite genres, both in movies and slot games. NetEnt has clearly allowed themselves to be inspired by Hacksaw’s Le Bandit range, but In and Out still comes across as fresh and unique, not least thanks to the flawless execution of the theme. The intro pulls you right into the mysterious Chloé’s high-class world and sets the tone for the cat burglar action that is about to play out.

It’s not all that often you hear a slot soundtrack with vocals, and NetEnt has come up with an artsy French song for In and Out that creates the exact sophisticated atmosphere they clearly were aiming for. Chloé herself is looking at you with piercing dark eyes when her symbol lands, before she bounces across the screen like a superhero if you also land a win. This initiates the core hold & win-style feature of In and Out, which is all about adding frames and expanding the grid, as well as upgrading both coin prizes and frames via different special symbols.

Sure, the feature does remind you of what goes on in Le Bandit, but NetEnt has tweaked the concept just enough to make it their own.
