Demonic Dolls joins Hacksaw Gaming's October 2026 line-up. Everything happens up in an attic, where the two dolls have taken a spot on either side of the reels. Between them is a 5x5 grid. They look more mischievous than genuinely frightening to me, despite the voodoo theme, button eyes and the axe sticking out of one doll's head.

There are no paylines. Five or more matching symbols need to connect to make a win, with larger clusters paying more. The cheaper symbols are 10 through A, followed by buttons, wool, axes, honey jars and red bow ties. That last one pays the most, reaching 500x for a group of at least 16.

The snake-shaped Wild Rattle is where the game gets more unusual. It works as a Wild and can arrive with a multiplier as high as 100x. Get several into the same win and their values are added together. Two Wild Rattles of the same size can also start Respins and merge, first into a 2x2 Colossal Wild and potentially later into a 3x3 one.

There are three versions of Free Spins, although they all continue with the Wild Rattle idea rather than introducing completely different features. At 96.26%, the RTP is about where I expected it to be for a Hacksaw slot. Volatility is medium, and the stake can be set anywhere from 0.10 to 100. As for the biggest possible result, Demonic Dolls stops at 10,000x the bet. I found the presentation quite playful for something involving possessed dolls. The attic stays dark, but the chunky cartoon symbols and exaggerated characters keep it away from serious horror, while the soundtrack and effects add a slightly creepy tone without taking over the game.

Most of the action in Demonic Dolls comes back to the Wild Rattles. They can multiply a cluster win, start a Respin and grow into much larger Wilds. The three Free Spins bonuses use the same idea, but give the Rattles progressively more help.

Demonic Dolls pays for clusters, starting with five matching symbols touching on the grid. Bigger groups are worth more. With the red bow tie, for example, getting 16 or more together pays 500x.

What Happens When Wild Rattles Meet

A Wild Rattle can replace any regular paying symbol. Some arrive with a multiplier attached, and if the Rattle helps complete a win, that multiplier is applied to it. If several Wild Rattles help with the same win, their multipliers are added together. They range from 2x to 100x, although only certain values can land.

Two same-size Wild Rattles in one winning cluster are enough to start a Respin. They then join together and become a 2x2 Colossal Wild Rattle. Its new multiplier is simply the total of the two values it had before the merge.

The Wild Rattles remain on the grid for the Respin sequence, but they don't stay put. They move to new random positions on each Respin. Another qualifying pair keeps the sequence going, while two 2x2 Colossal Wild Rattles can eventually combine into a 3x3 version. Wins are paid along the way.

Three Ways to Get 10 Free Spins

The number of FS symbols in the base game decides which bonus starts. Each one awards 10 spins, but the conditions for Wild Rattles improve as you move up.

Hacksaw Gaming calls Playtime Is Over the Hidden Epic Bonus. What I like about this setup is that there isn't another set of rules to learn once Free Spins begin. The better bonuses simply put more Wild Rattles into play, giving the merging mechanic more chances to develop.

FS symbols cannot appear during any of these three bonuses, so the 10 spins cannot be retriggered in the usual way.

There are two FeatureSpins choices, and they do very different things. BonusHunt FeatureSpins cost 3x the normal stake per spin and make a bonus five times more likely to trigger.

Theme & Graphics

The two dolls are hard to miss. One sits on each side of the reels, surrounded by old toys and clutter from the attic. Even the symbols look like things they might have found up there: buttons, wool, jars and an axe.

For me, they look strange more than scary. Big button eyes, stitched faces and exaggerated expressions give them a cartoon look, and their appearance changes during the bonuses. The attic gets the darker details, while the dolls bring most of the personality. Sound effects follow the same direction, with a creepy edge but nothing particularly heavy.

I think Demonic Dolls gets most of its appeal from one mechanic rather than trying to pack the grid with unrelated extras. The Wild Rattles can lead to some unusual Respins, although there are a few limitations worth keeping in mind.

Our Verdict

Demonic Dolls doesn't throw a new mechanic at me every few spins, and I actually think that works in its favour. The Wild Rattles have enough going on by themselves. Seeing two of them turn into a 2x2 Wild is already useful, but another merge can leave a 3x3 Wild covering a large part of the grid.

I also prefer the way the three bonuses build on each other. All Dolled Up is the basic version, while Bad Omens guarantees a Wild Rattle and Playtime Is Over guarantees two. The downside is that the bonuses don't really change how the game works. If the Wild Rattle mechanic isn't doing much for you, Free Spins aren't likely to change your mind.

The random movement during Respins is the part I found less predictable. A Wild can look well placed after one win and then move somewhere completely different for the next. On the other hand, that's also what keeps a Respin sequence from feeling automatic once a Colossal Wild appears.

Demonic Dolls keeps things fairly simple for a Hacksaw Gaming game. Most of the work is left to the Wild Rattles, and I think that's enough here. A 3x3 Wild can take over a good part of the grid, while the multipliers can climb as high as 100x. The biggest win possible is 10,000x. I'd mainly recommend it to players who like cluster games but want something other than the usual cascade system.
