Just like the original game released in 2024, Centurion Big Money, Inspired Gaming’s Centurion Bigger Big Money is all about the glory of one of the largest empires the world has ever seen. The retro visual style may give you the first impression that this is a straightforward game with few features. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Before we get to all the good stuff, let’s cover the basics first.

On the reels, you’ll find crossed swords, helmets, chariots, and different-color coins. While there is no regular soundtrack, each spin is saluted with a fanfare worthy of a triumphant Roman legion.

Our Verdict

Centurion Bigger Big Money is one of those games where you think you know what you’re gonna get, and then it takes you by surprise once you start playing. The somewhat archaic look and vibe, combined with the lack of a proper soundtrack, all pointed to a simple game that may have some sticky wilds or whatever in the bonus round. At least that was my impression when I first laid eyes on this game, but as they say, looks can deceive.

Inspired Gaming has packed a whole legion of features into this thing, as you probably already understand if you’ve read the rest of the review. The Fortune Bet features seem worthwhile despite the lack of bonus round hit rate stats, but you will get plenty of teaser respins in my experience. This became annoying after a while, so I turned it off after I hit my first bonus round. Also, don’t expect to win all that much on these respins, at least that was my experience.

As for the whole Fortune Spins thing, well, I don’t know. It seemed to make the game more volatile for one, as you can expect plenty of dead spins between any wins. A single bonus symbol kept appearing, and it can easily be mistaken for the wild/collector since both feature the Centurion character. Sure, you’ll rake in some decent coin wins once in a while, but I would probably stick with the regular base game most of the time.

The Big Money Bonus offers a refreshing take on the whole bonus trail concept, with the bush character hilariously chasing the Centurion to ambush him. It’s also fun to collect upgrades upfront, and the feature can go on for quite a while if you’re lucky with your bush picks. This is where you can expect the largest payouts, topping out at a solid 8,333x your stake. Centurion Bigger Big Money is not really my cup of tea, but I still enjoyed my test session thanks to the bonus round mayhem.
