Wild Ace takes you on a nostalgic trip back to the early 2000s, when online poker exploded into a global phenomenon. I am sure many players will appreciate this as much as I do, as this was when my online gambling career, if you can call it that, started. I had friends who made a good living from online poker, but for me, the endless hours of folding bad hands always got the best of me. Needless to say, I usually ended up on tilt, losing all my hard-earned winnings so fast it made my head spin.

Still, looking back, those were some golden years, and the Wild Ace slot will take you right back into that mindset if you allow it to. The good news is that you don’t need to fold any hands in this game. Instead, you can simply lean back and enjoy the cascading wins ride, and for once, it’s the usually dreaded royal symbols' turn to shine. They are the highest paying symbols in Wild Ace slot, and they pay even more when turned into wilds.

That being said, a 5 of a kind win with Aces awards only 0.75x your stake, while any wild symbols pay 1.05x your stake for the same. I’ve played plenty of slot games with low-value royals that pay more than that, so it’s a tad disappointing that TaDa Gaming has gone with such a low overall symbol value for this game. Turning the Jack symbol wild happens quite frequently, but it’s much rarer to see multiple symbols turn wild in the same cascading sequence.

The bonus round introduces a wild multiplier that increases the more royal symbols you turn wild. This would’ve worked better if the wild transformation were persistent for the duration of the feature. However, since this is not the case, you seldom benefit from more than the x2 multiplier. My suggestion would work better with a more volatile game, but Wild Ace instead offers casual low to medium volatility and an underwhelming max win of 1,000x your stake. It’s worth a spin or two for the nostalgia, but don’t expect huge returns here.
