The game board features a traditional Japanese gate – Torii, that is fashioned after the Torii at the Seimei shrine in Kyoto, built in honour of the legendary Onmyōji.

The lanterns that hang on the gate and carry the mystical five-pointed star pentagram-symbols are known in Japan as the “Seiman” or the “Seals of Abe no Seimei”. The featured character symbols in the game are: 1 Wild Symbol – Seimei: a young girl who is the reincarnation of Abe no Seimei, 1 Bonus/Scatter symbol – the Fox Max, 4 High-Paying symbols (Enma, Da-Ji, Mezu, Gozu – Lord of Demons and 3 Trinity Gods, guardians of the demon gate) and 3 Low-Paying symbols (Goblins A, B and C).
