Hero Clash slot review
Hurricane Games is clearly in the experimental phase of their development as a young and budding studio, and Hero Clash is visually different from anything they’ve conjured up before. We quite enjoyed the computer game-style graphics, and they’ve managed to come up with a nice and varied selection of characters.
You will play across 4 different stages unique to each character, and it’s all about collecting Hero Point scatters to trigger the bonus round. This way you cycle through all 4 of the hero stages, starting with the female archer and Zelda-lookalike, Charger, in stage 1. Next up is Slade, a slim, fair-haired knight with forearms that rivals Popeye. You’ll meet Hot Shots in stage 3, a big lad with lava hands, and the fairy-like Sonic Boom in stage 4.

Hero Clash Slot Features
You should probably decide up front whether or not you want to play with Super Stakes mode active. This will cost you 2x the regular stake, but you also double your bonus round chances via this feature. You need 150 Hero Power points to fill any given Hero Power meter, and there are 4 different stages based around each of the 4 characters.
You need to land at least 2 Hero Power scatters to collect 1 Hero Point in the meter, while 3, 4 or 5 Hero Power scatters award 50, 70 and 100 Hero Power points, respectively. You also get 1 Hero Power point per non-winning spin where you also don’t land 2+ Hero Power scatters.
You trigger the Bonus Round by filling the meter with 150 Hero Power points, or by landing 3+ bonus scatters anywhere in sight. You win 12 free spins either way, and a payout of 1, 2, 20 or 200 times your stake is awarded for 2, 3, 4 or 5 bonus scatters, respectively.
A 2x multiplier is active during all bonus round versions, and it will boost each win accordingly. Each Hero/character comes with his/her unique super power modifier that becomes active during the feature. When the bonus round is finished, you move on to the next Hero stage, and the Hero meter starts at zero.
Here is an overview of the 4 bonus round Hero versions:
- Charger - comes with a sticky wild on the middle of reel 3, and Charger randomly applies a 1x to 5x multiplier to this wild per spin.
- Slade - awards a 2x2 cluster of wilds randomly to each spin.
- Hot Shots - awards 1 to 8 wild symbols to random positions on each spin.
- Sonic Boom - fills reels 2, 3 or 4 with wilds randomly on each spin.
The 200 Spins Hero Clash Slot Experience
We enjoyed the video game vibe this game offers, and we had a pretty decent time testing Hero Clash. We’ve whipped together a brief and edited highlights video from our session as usual, and you can check it all out by hitting the play button below.
We like how the bonus round can be triggered either by filling the meter, or by landing 3+ scatters. This gives you a sense of progressing towards the game’s highlight all the time, while sometimes being caught by surprise by a “short-cut” to the feature. A change of scenery and bonus round modifier is also refreshing, although nothing overly innovative is on display here.
All 4 of the heroes provide different wild modifiers during their unique free spins version, and it’s hard to tell which one is the best alternative. Only Charger provides multiplier wilds though, which can potentially lead to bigger single spin payouts. The overall 5,000x potential is solid enough, and this is a pretty decent effort from Hurricane Games.
