Review Summary

Few developers know how to milk a success release like Pragmatic Play, and it is admittedly a “pragmatic” strategy. We don’t really mind as long as the follow-up releases are made of solid stuff, and that is definitely the case with Forge of Olympus. Hephaestus looks powerful doing his blacksmith thing there on the right-hand side, and whenever his hammer falls you know you’re in for some multiplier symbol goodies. It’s a bit frustrating when you don’t land a win to take advantage of it, however, and not least when larger multiplier symbols hit.

The base game is very similar to Gates of Olympus, but with a significantly lower multiplier symbol range. The bonus round is where Forge of Olympus shines the brightest, however, as it takes “only” 15 multiplier symbols collected to reach level 4. This means that all multipliers are between x50 and x100, but then again, you need to actually land them, and you need a win at the same time. The visuals are superb in this game, and the ash explosion bonus round intro/outro is a joy to behold. It will probably not dethrone the original, but Forge of Olympus is still well worth checking out in our view.
