All good things come in threes, as they say, and that’s certainly the case in Push Gaming’s 3 Magic Pots. You’re taken into the dimly lit chambers of some kind of wizard, although you never actually get to meet this mystical character. The game plays out on a 6x4 grid, with gems and other artifacts found on the reels. The visual style is fantasy cartoon, with a lively soundtrack keeping the energy flowing as you spin the reels.

You start by choosing your preferred bet level between €0.1 to €100 per spin, which should satisfy both casual players and high rollers. You win by landing 3 to 6 matching symbols across up to 4,096 win ways, starting from the leftmost reel towards the right. The top-tier symbols are different-color potion bottles, followed by gems, and finally the lower-value royals. The symbols pay 1x to 5x the stake for 6 of a kind wins, with Wilds substituting for regular pay symbols.

Our Verdict

Push Gaming has released some of the most memorable and instant-classic slots ever, like Razor Shark, Fat Rabbit, and Jammin' Jars, to name a few. They also used to be known for taking their sweet time with each release (and follow-ups), ensuring that the experience was as top-notch and mind-blowing as fans have learned to expect over the years from this creative provider.

However, lately, their approach seems to have changed to a certain extent, with a focus on releasing games more frequently and riding the coattails of current trends more than sticking out with original contributions. The recent Candy Blast is a good example, and 3 Magic Pots only underscores this strategic shift. I’m not really a huge fan of these types of slots myself, but obviously, they have caught on with a certain segment of players around the globe.

If you do like the idea of triggering the bonus round with either one or a mix of special features, 3 Magic Pots might be just what you’re looking for. The issue I have with this concept is that I always feel something is missing unless I get all possible features included, and this seldom happens. The Super Token helps in this regard, but it’s still rare to get all 3 features wrapped into the same bonus round. I prefer slots where each bonus round fires on all cylinders, but that’s just me.

Being able to collect cash and jackpot prizes in all stages of the game helps a bit, not least since you can land 2 collect symbols and collect prizes worth up to 1,000x the stake. However, 3 Magic Pots is hardly a groundbreaking release by any measure, and does not feel like the Push Gaming we used to know. Having a more “commercial” focus is understandable, but we have our fingers crossed that Push Gaming will continue to deliver on the level we know they can, at least once in a while.
