10 Burning Heart doesn't stray far from the classic fruit slot formula. It's one of several games in the Burning Heart series, created by EGT Digital, with 10 fixed lines across 5 reels and 3 rows. No regular Free Spins, no collection meter and no bonus that takes several stages to explain. The reels are filled mostly with fruit, plus bells and red Sevens. Five Sevens give the best regular-symbol payout at 5,000x the line bet. Five bells are worth 200x, while watermelons and grapes reach 700x.

The lower-paying fruit is easy to remember:

You're looking for coloured pearls linked to Mini, Minor, Major and Grand, while some chests hide Clover symbols that can move a result up one jackpot level. All four jackpots are progressive, but you can only leave the round with one of them. The Gamble game is another old-school touch. After an eligible win, I could collect the money or try red or black. Get the colour right and the win doubles; get it wrong and it's gone. Progressive jackpot wins can't be gambled.

RTP comes in at 95.94%. What I liked here is that 10 Burning Heart doesn't interrupt the regular spins every minute with another feature or bonus round. Most of the time you're playing a straightforward fruit slot, with the expanding Wild doing much of the work. The two Scatters work separately. Dollar can appear anywhere on the grid, and three or more give a payout. Three are worth 5x the total bet, four pay 20x and five pay 100x. Stars have fewer places to land. They only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5, with one on each reel paying 20x the total bet. Scatter wins are paid on top of any line wins from the same spin.

Clover Chance Jackpot

Clover Chance can start randomly once a game has finished. If it does, 15 chests appear on screen and you choose them one at a time. Twelve contain coloured pearls linked to the four jackpot levels, while the remaining chests hide Clover symbols that can move a qualifying result up to the next level. Mini, Minor, Major and Grand are all progressive jackpots. The round ends with one jackpot level awarded; you can't collect several of them from the same Clover Chance feature.

Gamble

After an eligible win, you can collect it or open the Gamble game. A card is dealt face down and you choose red or black. Pick the right colour and the amount doubles. A wrong guess means losing that win. The number of attempts and the maximum amount you can gamble depend on the limits shown in the game's paytable. Progressive jackpot wins can't be taken into Gamble.

Theme & Graphics

There's no real story behind 10 Burning Heart. Cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, grapes and watermelons make up most of the symbols on the reels. Bells and red Sevens are in there too. The symbols are bright and quite chunky, with a 3D look rather than the flat style of older fruit machines. Against the dark background, they're also easy to pick out while the reels are moving. The Dollar and Star Scatters stand apart from the fruit, so I had no trouble spotting either of them.

There isn't a lot going on around the reels. Animations are fairly simple, and the game doesn't spend much time celebrating smaller wins. That's probably a good fit here. 10 Burning Heart looks modern enough, but you can still tell straight away what kind of slot it's trying to be.

Our Verdict

10 Burning Heart is a fairly simple slot, and I think that's also where it works best. The regular spins aren't overloaded with extras, so most of your attention stays on the Wilds and the two Scatters. I especially liked the expanding Wild because covering one of the middle reels can change a spin without adding another separate bonus round.

Clover Chance gives the game something bigger to wait for. It can appear randomly and adds four progressive jackpots, but it doesn't take over the rest of the slot. The Gamble option is a nice extra too, particularly if you enjoy the older red-or-black style of feature. The 95.94% RTP is one point I'd keep in mind, and there are no regular Free Spins here. For me, 10 Burning Heart makes more sense for players who enjoy classic fruit slots with a few extras rather than games packed with modifiers, meters and several bonus modes.
