Susu & Koko Review

Susu & Koko was released by Pragmatic Play in October 2025. Susu & Koko is not part of a known Pragmatic Play series. The two characters appear throughout the game, together with a rather unusual mix of symbols: carrots, cakes, strawberries, drinks and dumbbells. A pizza is used for the Scatter, while colourful hearts act as multipliers.

The game starts with a 6x5 grid, although there are six locked spaces sitting above it. There are no paylines to follow. Instead, eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid make a win, after which those symbols disappear and a Tumble begins. New symbols drop into the empty spaces, so several wins can come from the same paid spin. Enough consecutive Tumbles also open the locked positions one by one, temporarily making the grid larger.

I found the multiplier setup more interesting than the basic pays. Heart symbols can carry anything from 2x to 500x, and several hearts can contribute to the same result. Once a Tumble sequence ends, their displayed values are added together and the resulting multiplier is applied to the total win from that sequence. Free Spins change this slightly, as the multiplier is kept and can continue growing during the bonus.

Susu & Koko has low volatility and a standard RTP of 96.07%. Bets run from 0.20 to 125, with the maximum possible win capped at 5,000x the bet. There is also an Ante Bet option and a direct Free Spins purchase. Both slightly change the theoretical return to 96.08%, although the extra features and their exact rules are worth looking at separately below.

Susu & Koko Features

The extra row above the reels is easy to notice when you first open Susu & Koko, but getting all six spaces into play takes a long run of Tumbles. Hearts bring the multipliers, while Free Spins make both mechanics more useful.

Pay Anywhere and Tumbles

There are no paylines here. Eight matching regular symbols are enough for a win and they can sit anywhere on the screen – they don't need to form a cluster or even touch.

Winning symbols disappear and everything above them drops down, leaving room for a new set of symbols. Another win means another Tumble. This can carry on until the new symbols no longer produce a payout.

Pizza Scatters are an exception. They stay on the grid until that entire sequence is over. This matters because another Scatter can arrive with a later Tumble and help towards triggering Free Spins.

Unlocking the Extra Row

The regular grid has 30 positions, with another six locked above it. I didn't find these particularly easy to open beyond the first few spaces, since every step asks for a longer Tumble sequence.

The first space opens after one Tumble. The next requires another three, followed by another 6, 9, 12 and finally 15 Tumbles for the remaining spaces. Each one joins the active grid as soon as it opens, but only for the current sequence. A new paid spin locks the top row again.

Heart Multipliers

The coloured hearts can show values from 2x all the way up to 500x. There are quite a few possibilities in between:

  • 2x–10x: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x
  • 12x–50x: 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 30x, 40x, 50x
  • 60x–500x: 60x, 80x, 100x, 150x, 200x, 300x, 400x, 500x

I can have several hearts left on the grid after the last Tumble. Once the Tumbles are over, I just add up the heart values left on screen. With 10x and 25x showing, that comes to 35x.

Free Spins

Four or more pizza Scatters award 10 Free Spins. The six upper spaces are locked when the round begins, just as they are at the start of a normal spin. The difference is what happens after you manage to open them.

An unlocked space now stays available for the rest of the bonus. The heart multiplier also stops resetting between spins. The multiplier doesn't start over with each free spin. Any new heart adds to the value already built up.

Three or more Scatters also bring another 5 Free Spins.

Ante Bet

With Ante Bet turned on, I pay 25% extra for every spin. The game then uses the 25x setting instead of the usual 20x.

What you get for the extra stake is a reel set containing more Scatters, making a natural Free Spins trigger more likely. RTP also moves very slightly, from 96.07% to 96.08%. One restriction is worth knowing: Buy Free Spins is unavailable while Ante Bet is active.

Buy Free Spins

There is another route straight into the bonus. Buy Free Spins costs 100x the current bet and the triggering spin lands 4, 5 or 6 Scatters at random.

You still receive the regular 10 Free Spins afterwards; this isn't a separate or upgraded version of the feature. The same persistent hearts, unlockable top row and +5-spin retrigger apply. RTP for the purchased feature is 96.08%.

Theme & Graphics

There is a lot going on visually in Susu & Koko. The two characters sit to the right of the reels, with a rainbow and clouds behind them, and even the locked spaces at the top look like little clouds. The symbols are just as random: cake, strawberries, a carrot, a drink and even a pair of dumbbells. Pizza slices are the Scatters and the multipliers come on coloured hearts.

I found the pastel look quite easy on the eyes, even with so much pink and blue around the reels. Nothing important gets lost in the background. The hearts stand out well during Tumbles, and you can clearly see each new position being added at the top. The music stays light and playful, much like the rest of the game.

Susu & Koko Free Play

The Susu & Koko free play version is available on this page, so you can try the game without using real money. It runs with virtual credits, but the reels and main features work in the same way. I used the demo to get a better idea of how often the Tumbles continue beyond the first win and how difficult it is to open several positions in the top row.

Since no real money is involved, Susu & Koko demo is also useful for trying different bet settings and simply getting used to the pace of the game. Any virtual wins stay inside the demo and cannot be withdrawn.

Pros And Cons Of Susu & Koko Slot

After playing Susu & Koko for a while, I found more to like in the Free Spins than in the regular game. The growing grid and persistent multiplier are the main positives for me, although there are a few limitations worth considering.

Pros

  • Heart multipliers can reach 500x
  • Multiplier values are added together during Tumbles
  • Unlocked grid positions remain open throughout Free Spins
  • Multiplier keeps building during Free Spins
  • Free Spins can be extended by another 5 spins

Cons

  • Maximum win is capped at 5,000x
  • Opening all six spaces above the grid requires a very long Tumble sequence
  • Low volatility may not suit players looking for a more aggressive slot
  • Ante Bet increases the cost of each spin by 25%
  • 100x bet required to buy the Free Spins feature

Our Verdict

Susu & Koko turned out to be more interesting than its cute presentation first suggested to me. The regular game is easy to follow, with wins appearing anywhere on the grid and Tumbles doing most of the work. What kept my attention was the row above the reels. Opening one or two spaces happens reasonably early in a sequence, but getting much further takes considerably more Tumbles.

There are some limits. The 5,000x cap feels a little low to me when the hearts themselves can go all the way to 500x. I wasn't too keen on paying extra for Ante Bet either, as it pushes each spin up by 25%. Buying the bonus is another option, but that comes at 100x the bet.

Overall, I think Susu & Koko works best for players who enjoy Tumble games but don't necessarily want high volatility. The 96.07% RTP is reasonable, the rules aren't difficult to pick up, and the expanding grid gives longer sequences something extra to work towards. For me, the Free Spins round is easily the best part of the slot.
