The 3 Oaks guys are specialists with respect to the whole concept of triggering the bonus round with a mix of different features. At least that’s what you hope to do, but more often than not, you’re stuck with a single feature for the duration of the bonus. This is my main frustration with these types of games. I don’t feel like spending all that time and money to trigger the bonus, only to be disappointed by the single feature I got.

I want each bonus round to have the potential for massive payouts, and you don’t get that feeling without triggering at least 2 features in the Rush For Gold slot. Of course, there is also the issue that the max win of this game has not yet been disclosed, so we have no idea what the actual potential is. However, we will update the attributes section as soon as we know. The same goes for the RTP, by the way, and it’s a bit strange that 3 Oaks cannot simply disclose these vital stats clearly on the game page or in the game info section.

Visually, Rush For Gold stands out with its simplistic approach, and the 3 animated mining carts that are getting more and more loaded with gold nuggets as you play. It’s fun to see how these competitive carts are trying to squeeze in front of each other each time you collect a feature symbol, but don’t expect the bonus round to trigger all that often in this game. It comes along once in a while, of course, but it seemed hard to get more than one feature from the start.

If you’re lucky, you can trigger extra features during the bonus, which is also the only way to win extra free spins without the Extra feature active. The Extra and Multi features are your best bet for larger payouts, as the wild collector multipliers can really make a difference. As usual with these types of games, you seldom get to see the bonus round fire on all cylinders, but for some, it might be worth the wait.
