Our Verdict

The Irish Luck theme is as evergreen as it gets. However, providers will many times resort to clichés when making these games, something Pragmatic Play has partially managed to avoid this time. It’s not all that often you get to go inside a leprechaun tavern like you do in Lucky’s Wild slot, although it would’ve been even more fun if the backdrop was animated. That being said, a static image works fine too, and at least it does not distract from the gameplay.

The soundtrack is simple and mood-lifting, adding to the already cheerful atmosphere. So far, so good, but there are several drawbacks that need to be addressed. First of all, there are no features to live things up in the base game, unless you count wild symbols as a feature. However, this is not really a huge issue since the Pot Respins bonus triggers so frequently.

In most slots like this, where you collect coins to get modifiers in the bonus round, the coins present on the triggering spin determine which modifiers you get. However, in Lucky’s Wild Pub, the amount of modifiers is randomly assigned per trigger. In my view, this kind of defeats the purpose of having the coins in the first place. Again, not a huge deal, but still something worth noting.

My main issue with this game is the size of the jackpots. They are not substantial enough to truly do damage unless you land plenty of them, and I would have preferred larger jackpot symbols that appear less frequently instead. You will most likely need to fill the grid to take home larger payouts from Lucky’s Wild Pub, and you need the dual grid to crack the 10,000 win cap. The average return from the bonus is not all that impressive, as indicated by the 50x and 100x price tag.
