Fortune Paw Review

Fortune Paw is one of the smaller slots I've played lately. Booming Games uses just nine positions, arranged in a 3x3 grid, with five fixed paylines. There's no huge reel set to figure out and not much waiting around for the game to show what it does.

The slot was released in 2026. Here are the main numbers for the version I played:

The paytable is short as well. Gold ingots are the best of the regular symbols, paying 20x for three. Coins pay 5x, followed by the red ornament at 2x. Bells, envelopes and lotus flowers make up the cheaper symbols.

The cat gets the Wild job. Three Wilds across a payline pay 50x, and it can replace any of the other symbols. There's another reason to keep an eye on it: every Wild that appears is added to the Collection Chest.

That chest is a little misleading at first. I expected the collected Wilds to be building towards something, but that's not how it works. Respins can start randomly, and the rules make it clear that filling the chest doesn't improve the trigger chance.

When Respins do appear, one of seven symbols is chosen for the round. From there, only that symbol and Wilds can land. Anything new that drops in stays where it is and another respin follows. Get a spin with no new symbol or Wild and the feature is finished.

There's one more mechanic that makes sense once you remember there are only five paylines. Land a win on all five at the same time and every line win gets a 10x multiplier. It isn't reserved for the Respins either; the same rule applies during the base game.

The rest is kept deliberately simple. Red and gold dominate the screen, the symbols are all tied to Eastern good-luck imagery, and the lucky cat sits above the reels. Fortune Paw doesn't try to turn its tiny grid into a complicated bonus game. Most of the time you're simply spinning five lines and waiting for the Respins or that all-lines 10x hit to interrupt things.

There aren't many extras to learn in Fortune Paw. Wilds go into the chest above the reels, Respins can interrupt the base game, and the five paylines have a 10x rule of their own.

Wild and Collection Chest

Every lucky cat Wild you see ends up in the Collection Chest. On the reels, the same symbol replaces any of the regular ones and pays 50x the bet when three form a winning line.

The chest caught my attention pretty quickly because it looks like you're working towards a target. You're not. Collecting more Wilds doesn't make Respins more likely, and even the changing look of the chest has no effect on the trigger.

Respins Feature

You don't need a particular combination to reach Respins. It can simply turn up during the base game.

An envelope then picks one of the seven symbols. That's the one you want to keep seeing. During the feature, the reels use only the selected symbol and Wilds, and whatever you land stays put. Get another one on the next respin and you go again. A respin with nothing new on the grid brings the round to an end.

10x Multiplier

The multiplier doesn't have its own symbol. Instead, you need winning combinations across all five paylines at once. Do that and the five line wins are multiplied by 10.

This rule also carries over to Respins. With symbols staying in place there, you can gradually get more of the small 3x3 grid occupied before the feature ends.

Theme & Graphics

Fortune Paw is hard to miss, mostly because of the huge golden cat above the reels. Red covers almost everything else, from the background to several of the symbols. The 3x3 grid has gold ingots, coins, firecrackers, red envelopes and lotus flowers.

The cat isn't just sitting there either. It moves and reacts while you play, with the Collection Chest right beside it. I found myself watching that part of the screen almost as much as the reels.

The symbols are big, glossy and easy to separate from one another. There are only nine positions, so the reels never look busy. The cat takes up far more room than the actual game grid, which is probably what I remember most about the design.

The Fortune Paw demo on this page uses virtual credits, so you can spin for as long as you want without making a deposit. The bet can be changed normally, and the same five paylines and features are available.

There's actually one thing I'd check in the demo that isn't obvious just from looking at the game. Wilds keep disappearing into the Collection Chest, and after a while it really does look as though you're getting closer to something. Keep playing and you'll see that Respins doesn't arrive at a particular number. The chest can continue filling without anything happening.

I'd also wait until Respins turns up at least once. The 3x3 grid feels very different when the chosen symbol starts staying in place and another one gives you an extra spin. You may even get close to covering enough of the grid to have all five paylines paying together.

Nothing you collect or win in Fortune Paw free play has a real-money value. For me, the demo is more useful for seeing how that random Respins trigger works than for learning the five paylines, which are pretty straightforward from the start.

Pros And Cons Of Fortune Paw Slot

Fortune Paw is easy to get into, but there isn't a long list of bonuses to discover. I liked the Respins most, especially when several positions started filling up.

Our Verdict

The Respins were easily the part of Fortune Paw I enjoyed most. Once a symbol is picked and a few positions begin to stay filled, those nine spaces suddenly feel like enough. The 10x multiplier also fits the small grid well, giving you a reason to watch all five paylines rather than just the centre row.

The Collection Chest didn't add as much for me. Wilds keep going into it, but since collecting them doesn't improve the chance of triggering Respins, it's more of a visual extra than something I was actively trying to build.

Fortune Paw also fits nicely among Asian-themed slots, although Booming Games keeps the familiar lucky-cat setting fairly simple. With high volatility and a 2,500x maximum win, the game isn't built around a huge list of bonuses. I'd remember it more for the compact 3x3 grid, the sticky Respins and that oversized cat watching everything from above.
