Dojo Duel 2 Review
Dojo Duel 2 is a July 2026 release from Titan Gaming and follows the original Dojo Duel. This time there are six reels with four symbols on each, running on 16 betways. RTP is 96.01%, with a medium-high volatility. The regular max win is listed at 50,000x.
The game takes place inside a Japanese dojo, and the theme runs through the symbols too. You'll see the fighters themselves, along with fans, scrolls, nunchucks and koi fish. I like that the martial arts theme actually carries into the gameplay rather than sitting in the background. Duels between characters are part of the mechanics, complete with multipliers that can go from 2x up to 200x.

The VS Symbol is where much of this starts. A Dojo Frame can appear in different sizes and positions on the grid. Get a VS inside it and the symbol fills that area, bringing two fighters into a Duel. One wins, stays on screen and brings its multiplier into any win involving the resulting VS Wild Reel. A VS landing outside the frame behaves differently, expanding into a 1x4 Wild Reel with one fighter and a multiplier.
Bonus symbols take things further. Depending on how many you collect, you can reach Dojo Duel, Rising Duel, Final Duel or Ultimate Duel. The later rounds make greater use of sticky Dojo Reels and give the feature more room to develop. There's quite a lot to take in here, particularly compared with the simpler slots we've been looking at, but the basic idea stays centred on fighters, Wild reels and multipliers.
Dojo Duel 2 also has several ways of entering or changing these features through its Bonus Buy options. One of the more unusual is Bonus Buy Battle, where your bonus result is put up against a virtual opponent. We'll go through that separately below, along with the four Duel bonuses and the different ways the Dojo area can grow.
Dojo Duel 2 Features
Dojo Duel 2 takes a little more time to figure out than most slots we've covered. The VS Symbol is behind much of what happens, but its effect changes depending on where it lands. The bonus rounds then build on that idea, gradually giving you larger Dojo areas and more chances to improve the multiplier.
VS Symbol and Dojo Frame
A Dojo Frame can appear over different parts of the grid during the base game. Its size isn't fixed either. What happens next depends on where the VS Symbol lands.
Get one inside the frame and it expands to cover that whole area. Two fighters then face each other, each carrying a multiplier. The winner stays and that multiplier is used for wins involving the VS Wild Reel.
A VS outside the Dojo Frame doesn't start the same fight. Outside the frame, the VS Symbol stretches over all four positions on that reel and works as a Wild. A fighter appears with it, carrying a multiplier anywhere from 2x to 200x.
Four Duel Bonus Games
There isn't just one Free Spins round here. The number of Bonus Symbols decides which version you get, and all four start with 10 spins. What changes is the setup you take into them.
| Bonus Symbols | Feature | Starting setup |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | Dojo Duel | 2x4 Dojo Frame |
| 4 | Rising Duel | 1x4 sticky Dojo Reel |
| 5 | Final Duel | 2x4 sticky Dojo Reel |
| 6 | Ultimate Duel | 3x4 sticky Dojo Reel |
Dojo Duel is the odd one out. Its 2x4 frame moves to another random position after every spin, and Expander Symbols can make it wider. Progressing through the feature also raises the minimum multiplier available from VS Symbols.
Rising Duel switches from a moving frame to a sticky Dojo Reel. Final Duel starts with two sticky reels, while Ultimate Duel gives you three. Final and Ultimate also open with a Duel to establish the fighter you'll take into the bonus.

Dojo Reel and Progress Ladder
Once the Dojo Reel is involved, your current fighter and multiplier stay with you during the bonus. That's important because losing a later Duel doesn't knock the multiplier back down.
Bonus Symbols also feed a Progress Ladder. Every three you collect moves things forward and gives you between 1 and 3 extra Free Spins. In Rising, Final and Ultimate Duel, reaching another stage can expand the Dojo Reel and put your current fighter up against a new challenger. Win that fight and the new multiplier takes over; lose it and you keep what you already had.
Bonus Buy and Strike Modes
The buy menu is unusually large. Rather than giving you one or two shortcuts, Dojo Duel 2 lets you choose anything from a small base-game adjustment to Ultimate Duel.
| Option | Cost |
|---|---|
| Bonus Boost | 2x |
| Scatter Spins | 50x |
| Dojo Strike | 100x |
| Dojo Duel | 150x |
| Rising Duel | 300x |
| Mystery Buy | 440x |
| Final Duel | 600x |
| Final Duel Strike | 1000x |
| Ultimate Duel | 2000x |
Bonus Boost changes the cost of each spin rather than taking you straight into a bonus. The Strike options provide another route into the feature mechanics, while the direct buys start the selected Duel round.
Bonus Buy Battle
This is the part I found most unusual. Bonus Buy Battle turns the purchased bonus into a competition against a virtual opponent.
You first choose the type of battle and volatility, then pick one of two slots. Your opponent gets the other one. Both bonus rounds are played and their final results are compared.
If yours is higher, you receive the combined value of both rounds. If the opponent finishes ahead, you get nothing from the Battle. Ties count as a win for you. Bonus Buy Battle can also go beyond the usual 50,000x cap, with a maximum of 100,000x available in this mode.
Theme & Graphics
Dojo Duel 2 sticks closely to its martial-arts theme. The reels sit inside a Japanese dojo, with fighters and objects such as fans, scrolls and nunchucks used across the grid. The Duel animations give the characters a bigger role whenever two of them face each other.
Visually, there's quite a lot happening once the features get going. Dojo Frames expand, Wild Reels appear and fighters move into battle, but I found the main grid fairly easy to follow despite all of that.
Dojo Duel 2 Free Play
Dojo Duel 2 free play is useful for learning how the game works before moving on to real-money bets. There's quite a lot to take in, particularly with the VS Symbol, changing Dojo areas and four different Duel bonuses.
I would use the Dojo Duel 2 demo to get familiar with the Dojo Frame first. Once you've seen how that works, the Wild Reels, fighter multipliers and bonus progression are much easier to follow.
Pros And Cons Of Dojo Duel 2 Slot
Dojo Duel 2 has plenty to explore, especially once the Dojo mechanics start developing during the bonus rounds. The amount going on can also make it harder to learn at first.
Pros
- Four different Duel bonus rounds
- VS multipliers can reach 200x
- Dojo Reels can grow during the bonuses
- Extra Free Spins are available through the Progress Ladder
Cons
- The feature rules take some time to learn
- Medium-high volatility won't suit everyone
- Many Bonus Buy options make the menu quite busy
- Ultimate Duel costs 2,000x to buy
Our Verdict
What stayed with me most about Dojo Duel 2 was how much the game changes once you move beyond the first Duel. You can start with a fairly small Dojo area and eventually end up playing with several sticky reels, a fighter already in place and a multiplier you don't want to lose. It gives the bonuses a sense of progression that I wasn't expecting from the first few spins.
I prefer Rising and Final Duel for that reason. There's something to work towards rather than simply watching a set number of Free Spins run down. Collecting Bonus Symbols moves the ladder, extra spins can be added and another fighter may turn up to challenge the one you already have. Even losing that fight doesn't wipe out your existing multiplier.
The downside is that Dojo Duel 2 asks you to learn quite a few rules before all of this clicks. Then there's the enormous buy menu, which adds another layer on top. Bonus Buy Battle is probably the strangest option of the lot: beating the virtual opponent gets you both results, but losing leaves you with nothing.
This won't be my pick for a quick, simple slot session. For players who like bonuses that can develop in several directions, though, there's much more to dig into here. A Dojo Duel 2 demo makes particular sense with this one, simply because seeing the frames, fighters and Dojo Reels in action is easier than learning them all from a paytable.
