You start by choosing your preferred game mode: Instant Wins or Increasing Multipliers. Once you’ve settled on a bet level and game mode, the time has come to choose: heads or tails. The CoinFlip game features a charming pirate theme, complete with a treasure map backdrop and a swashbuckling soundtrack. Our Verdict

Once in a while, it's nice to take a break from spinning the slot reels and try something different. Granted, many slot games have a built-in coin flip gambling feature, while CoinFlip is a whole game dedicated to this classic 50/50 game. The pirate theme made the experience even more enjoyable, amplified by the soundtrack and the sound effects when you win or lose. You get the sense that you’re gambling on a pirate ship as part of the crew, which is kind of cool.

Of course, the game itself is as simple as it gets. You choose your destiny with either head or tail, and the coin then flips to determine the outcome. Being able to bet anything from €0.01 to €200 per round is appreciated, making this game suitable for all types of gamblers. You can also keep track of the winning coins, and CoinFlip is a provably fair game. It’s not something I would play all the time, but it offers a decent break from regular video slots.

The regular Instant Mode gets boring pretty quickly, though, and I much prefer the more thrilling and potentially lucrative Multiply mode. Each successful guess increases the bet multiplier, making each choice as nerve-racking as it gets. Of course, the odds of getting all the way to round 20 and winning the top bet multiplier are not very high (1 in 1,048,576, to be precise), but you can always cash out when you reach a decent prize.

If you are a fan of keeping things simple, you can’t go wrong with a game like CoinFlip. It blends well with the rest of InOut Games’ portfolio, and it’s nice to see a provider that delivers something out of the ordinary with each release. CoinFlip will probably not be for everyone, and it’s hardly a game you play for all that long each time. However, I will probably return to this game occasionally, not least to soak in the swashbuckling atmosphere.
