Beez Turn Wild

Beez Turn Wild Review

There are four beehives above the reels in Beez Turn Wild, and each one has something different to offer. The bees appear together with Wild symbols and fly towards their matching hives. Sometimes this leads to Free Spins, where you might get just one feature or a combination of several. I like this part of the game, as you never know which hive might activate next.

Playson has used a rather cheerful design here, despite the slightly angry expressions on some of the bees. The reels have flowers, honey pots, crowns and card symbols, with plenty of yellow and orange in the background. It's a 5×4 slot with 20 paylines, and the betting range goes from 0.20 to 100. The maximum win is 5,565x, but with high volatility and a 95.66% RTP, I wouldn't count on the smaller wins keeping the balance going for long.

I'd be most interested in seeing Sticky and Multi activated together. A Wild that stays put is already useful, but one that keeps its multiplier for the rest of the bonus has considerably more potential. More can also increase those multipliers when Wilds overlap. The interesting part is that you don't necessarily start Free Spins with every feature you'll get, since other hives can still activate along the way.

Beez Turn Wild Features

Beez Turn Wild has four hives, each linked to a different bee. You can unlock one or several of them during Free Spins, and some combinations are considerably more interesting than the individual features. Here's what each hive does and how the bonus works.

Bee Wilds

Keep an eye on the Wilds during regular spins. Some arrive with a bee attached, which then flies up to its matching hive. The Wild stays on the reels, and the hive has a chance to activate Free Spins. There are four bees to look for: Sticky, Multi, More and Royal. Getting a bee into its hive doesn't always mean you'll enter the bonus, though.

Free Spins

You start with 7 Free Spins, using whichever hive features you've managed to activate. More hives can open during the round, so the bonus you finish with might be quite different from the one you started. There's also a +1 Free Spin symbol. It gives you another spin before changing into a Wild.

Sticky Hive

Any new Wild that lands while Sticky is active remains on the reels for the rest of Free Spins. The more of these you collect, the more positions you'll have covered. It won't hold onto Wilds created by More, however. Those only appear for one spin.

Multi Hive

New Wilds receive a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x when Multi is active. If two or more of them help complete the same payline, you add their multipliers together. A 2x and a 5x, for example, give you 7x on that line.

I wouldn't overlook the order in which the hives activate. If Sticky opens first and Multi joins later, the Wilds already stuck on the reels won't gain multipliers. New ones can, and they'll keep those values if Sticky is also active.

More Hive

More can place additional Wilds on the reels. How many? That depends on the Wilds already visible during the spin. If there are three, for example, the feature can add another three.

The extra Wilds don't necessarily need empty positions. They can overlap existing Wilds, adding +1 to the multiplier for each overlap. This is where things can get interesting with Sticky. An existing sticky Wild can gain a higher multiplier through More and keep that increase for the remaining spins. The additional Wilds themselves disappear after the current spin.

Royal Hive

Royal gives you two more rows. The grid grows from 5×4 to 5×6, and the number of paylines increases from 20 to 30. You won't get Royal on its own. It always comes with at least one of the other hive features.

Buy Free Spins

You can skip the regular spins and buy your way into the bonus. There are two prices: 75x your bet for Free Spins with a random selection of hive features, or 400x for Royal Free Spins with all four hives active.

The second option is quite expensive, even if it guarantees the full set of features. I'd be more inclined to try the 75x purchase, although you won't know which hives you're getting beforehand.

Extra Bet

Beez Turn Wild has two Extra Bet settings. Higher Chance costs 1.5x your normal stake and improves your chances of triggering Free Spins.

Wild Spin is the more expensive option at 5x the stake. It triples the chance of Free Spins and can activate Sticky, Multi and More during the base game. Sticky can also start a series of respins, which continue as long as new eligible Wilds land. Wilds added by More don't extend those respins.

If Free Spins activate during Wild Spin, any remaining respins play out first.

Theme & Graphics

Playson has given Beez Turn Wild a colourful cartoon look, with yellow bees, honeycomb hives and plenty of flowers. The bees have funny, slightly grumpy expressions, which I think suit the game quite well. Honey pots and crowns appear on the reels alongside the usual card symbols.

When a bee appears with a Wild, it flies up to its hive and leaves the Wild on the reels. I find myself watching the hives more than the symbols, especially when several bees show up close together.

Beez Turn Wild Free Play

You can try the Beez Turn Wild demo on this page, using virtual credits instead of real money. The four hives work the same way, so you'll get to see how the bees activate Free Spins and what happens when several features come together.

In Beez Turn Wild free play, I'd pay particular attention to the Wild multipliers. With Multi and More active, their values can change quite a bit during a bonus, especially if Sticky is involved too. I'd try a few rounds just to see how high those multipliers can climb when the hives work together.

Pros And Cons Of Beez Turn Wild Slot

I like the idea behind the four hives, particularly because their effects can overlap rather than being limited to separate bonus rounds. Still, the numbers aren't quite as attractive as the features. Here's what I'd count as the main advantages and disadvantages of Beez Turn Wild.

Our Verdict

I'd give Beez Turn Wild a try for its Free Spins rather than the regular gameplay. The four hives make the bonus more interesting, especially when Sticky and Multi are active together. More can push those multipliers higher, and Royal adds another two rows to the reels.

My main complaint is the 95.66% RTP. It's lower than I'd like, particularly for a high-volatility slot where bigger wins may take a while to appear. The 5,565x maximum win is decent, but I find the combinations of hive features more appealing than the win cap itself. For me, Beez Turn Wild is worth a few demo spins to see how the different bees behave. I'd be curious to land a bonus with all four hives active, although there's no guarantee of getting that combination.
