Alchemy Gaming has had pretty decent success with their subsea adventure, Aquanauts, and despite the different theme and setting, Tiger’s Ice is a similar game underneath it all. You’re taken back to the Ice Age in this installment though, and the white and black saber-tooth tiger is the main character. Both games play out on a 5x5 grid with 3,125 win ways, and Echo Rolls plays a central part.

The trademarked Echo Roll feature kicks in at random times, and it fills the Rolling Reels gaps in such a way that you are guaranteed to win. The frozen landscape is decorated with mysterious primitive inscriptions, and a bonus wheel provides different upgrades to bring with you into the feature. We found the title “Tiger’s Ice” to be a bit strange, but the game itself was surprisingly refreshing and fun. The audiovisuals are pleasant with an aura of mystique around them, and the rolling reels system flows smoothly. Getting occasional ‘win guarantee’ Echo Rolls helps keep you going as well, as what you really want is the bonus round.

Being lucky with the upgrade wheel seems important, but non-UK players have the option of paying extra to get more upgrades as they see fit. This makes the feature highly flexible, albeit only in eligible jurisdictions, and incrementing the multiplier by +2 or +3 seems like a good choice. The volatility is very high according to the data sheet, but you’re compensated by a solid 20,000x potential.
