Betsoft has basically gone back to the basics with this release, and Primal Wilderness offers nothing we haven’t seen plenty of times before. The game follows in the footsteps of the, in our opinion, superior Primal Hunt, but both the math model and the features are less exciting in this sequel. The forest animal visuals are decent, with a dangerous looking bear on the right-hand side.

The bear is the top-tier symbol as well, and the base game is about as barebones as it gets. Wilds can land on the 3 middle reels, and there are no other features to keep you going between bonus round triggers. The free spins feature comes with x2 or x3 multiplier wilds, and this is how you’re most likely to close in on the mediocre 3,310x potential.

Review Summary

First of all, it’s annoying that you’re not allowed to spin with a bet size of €/£1. This is hardly too much to ask in this day and age, and the fixed image of a screaming bear is a tad too much when it’s also repeated as a symbol. In addition, we didn’t really like the falling leaves animations you get per spin, but other than that the visual presentation is decent.

The game itself is super simple, and the 1,024 paylines means that you can, in theory, crack the 3,310x potential from a single base game spin. Your chances are increased in the bonus round though, since you get x2 and x3 multiplying multiplier wilds. This means that your winnings can be boosted by up to x27 at best, but it’s hardly a very original feature to say the least.
