This is hardly a game that takes itself too seriously, and we don’t think Pragmatic Play has poured too much effort into creating it either.

It’s far from the best we’ve seen from this developer, and the base game is a walk in the wilderness to say the least. Nothing happens except dead spins and occasional wins with or without the help of wild symbols, but the bonus round triggers every 109 spins on average, which helps. The feature is mostly about getting as many framed positions as possible, and upgrading them as best you can, before they all turn into cash prizes in the end. The max win is 2,000x your stake, which is as mediocre as the game itself.

The premium symbols pay between 16 and 24 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and you can land the Wild symbol on all reels as well. The treasure chest wild steps in for pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins, but it holds no value of its own. Other than that, there are no base game features to be found in this game.

You need at least 6 knight scatters in view to trigger the Bonus Round, and you get 1 free spin per triggering scatter. The positions with scatters become framed, and scatters keep adding frames to positions when they land in the bonus round as well. If scatters land in a position that already has a frame, the position is upgraded instead. You can upgrade each frame up to 3 times this way.

All the framed positions turn into money symbols when the bonus round ends, and all the money symbol prizes are then summed up and paid. The upgrade level of the frame determines your likelihood of getting higher cash prizes, and the possible values are 1x-6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 30x, 40x, 50x, 60x, 80x, 100x, 150x, or 200x your stake per symbol. You can retrigger the bonus round by landing 4+ scatters, and you get +1 extra spin per retriggering scatter.

There is a certain charm to the semi-armored pet piggy that’s tagging along for whatever daring adventures this knight is headed towards. However, it’s hardly enough to carry this game, or rescue it from being well below what we expect from Pragmatic Play. The base game is dry and boring with only wilds to help you out, so everything hangs on the bonus round.

The good news is that the bonus round triggers every 109 spins on average, which is a solid hit rate compared to most games out there. The bad news is that the bonus round isn’t all that exciting either, and especially not if you don’t manage to upgrade plenty of frames to the highest level. You get a cash prize reveal in the end, which lands you mostly low to medicare payouts, and 2,000x your stake is the most you can hope for anyway.
