The symbols pay between 1 and 12.5 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and you win by landing 3-6 matching symbols on adjacent reels from the uttermost left to the right. Each reel comes with up to 6 positions, and the grid maxes out with 46,656 Megaways. Wild symbols appear on the 4 middle reels only (that is reels 2, 3, 4, and 5), and wilds step in for pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins.

You need at least 6 joker scatter symbols in view to trigger the Hold & Win Bonus Round, and the triggering symbols turn into sticky cash coin symbols on an otherwise cleared grid. OnlyPlay hasn’t exactly gone overboards with this Megaways version of their original game, but then again, it was a rather simple fruit slot to begin with. Joker Coins Megaways plays out on a bigger and bolder format, of course, but the number of win ways is well below average for this engine. There are no cascading wins either, but you get wild symbols on the 4 middle reels to help you out in the base game.

The Hold & Win feature is fairly standard stuff as well, although it comes with full reel prizes that aren’t that common. Such features are not unheard of though, and it’s always appreciated to be able to win larger prizes. The top-tier jackpot only pays 1,000x your stake though, which isn’t all that in the grand scheme of things, but you can apparently win up to 9,113x your stake in Joker Coins Megaways. This is a bit below what’s on offer in the original game, which is a somewhat strange choice.
