Top Ranked Dice Games

Dice games might not be the most prominent and popular casino games out there, but among a smaller percentage of casino players dice games are the absolute number one favorite. They might be a bit hard to get into and understand at first, but those who take the time usually find it very rewarding.

Most Common Online Casino Dice Games

There are not that many different dice games to choose from, and you’ll find that there are 3 main dice games out there with some offshoots and variations. These 3 are Craps, Sic Bo and Poker Dice. In this article we will give you a nice overview of the 3 main games, and hopefully help you understand the basics to make dice games a more accessible and fun experience for you. Craps

Craps can look a bit confusing, and even intimidating, when you first approach it, but it’s really not as hard as it looks. In the beginning it’s best to just place the most common bets, which is the Pass Line Bet, Come Bet, Don’t Pass Bet and Don’t Come Bet. The House edge on all these bets are a measly 1.4%, so Craps is actually one of the best casino games to play when it comes to favorable odds.

Craps is simply put a dice game where the Shooter rolls 2 dice, and it’s the sum total of the dice that counts. All players get their turn to be the Shooter, but you can still place bets in between being the person who rolls the dice, of course. The first round is known as the “Come out Roll”, and a game can last for more than one round depending on the outcome.

The most common bet on the Come Out Roll is the Pass Line bet, and if the dice sum up to 7 or 11 you win with this bet. Be aware that 7 is the most likely number on any roll, and the Pass Line Bet loses if the dice show 2, 3 or 12. The Don’t Pass Bet is the opposite bet, where you bet that the Shooter will lose.

Sic Bo

Sic Bo translates to “Dice Pair” in Chinese, and this is a truly ancient game, which is kind of cool in and of itself. Back in the day it was played with wooden blocks (kind of like dominos), and this is a massive game in asia. It’s kind of ironic given the title of the game, but the truth is that Sic Bo is played with 3 dice (not “a pair”).

The table offers a wide variety of odds og possible payouts, and you can bet on exact combinations as well as number ranges and sequences. Sic Bo is very simple, you place your bet on a certain outcome, and if that outcome comes true you win. You’ll get into it very quickly once you start playing, don’t worry, and it’s great fun too!

Poker Dice

Poker Dice has gotten its name cause you roll 5 dice, and instead of the regular numbers each die holds a value of 9, 10 and the face cards J, Q and K. Thus, the game has some similarities to poker, but there is no bluffing in Poker Dice.

The game is very simple. You place your bet on a certain poker hand outcome, and depending on which poker hand is rolled, you will collect your winnings or lose. Any fan of poker will probably find this game quite charming, and it’s the easiest dice game to get into of the ones we’ve discussed here.
