The Devil’s Trap sounds a bit more scary than anything this seasonal StakeLogic release can deliver in the form of spooky moments, but the game plays out in a haunted and abandoned fairground. We have seen scarier Halloween slots for sure, and the base game in Stakelogic’s Devil’s Trap is pretty much a snoozefest until the bonus reel triggers. The ghosts in the backdrop look about as engaged as we were after a while of dead spins, and the cash prizes up to 200x aren’t all that in the larger scheme of things.

The respins with random wilds feature is hardly original, but it can deliver okay payouts at times. Up to 2,000x your stake is possible from a base game spin after all, and the 10,000x win cap is therefore only crackable in the bonus round. Multipliers up to x100 can certainly help, but overall this is a seasonal release that will have a hard time reeling anyone in the rest of the year.
