Many western players will probably not know too much about Ashoka, so a brief history lesson is necessary to appreciate the mythological backdrop. Ashoka was a legendary Indian emperor in the Maurya Dynasty (268 to 232 BCE), and he was known as a great reformer and a righteous ruler. You win by landing 8 to 15+ matching symbols anywhere in view, and 15+ scatter wins pay between 3 and 100 x your stake. Adjacent blocker tiles are removed together with the winning symbols, and this triggers the Avalanche mechanic. New and/or existing symbols will then drop down to fill the gaps, and this process repeats as long as you keep winning.

All wilds step in for pay symbols to help create or improve wins as their core feature, but there are several special wilds in this game in addition to the regular wild symbol. It’s not the most complicated release we’ve seen from ELK, perhaps, and it walks a golden middle way in that regard. This harmonizes with the Buddhism-inspired theme, and the multiplier symbols take center stage in this game for sure. This goes especially for the persistent super multiplier, as it can really make a difference if you manage to carry it over into the bonus round.
