How SlotRank Is Computed for Canada and Other Markets

To calculate SlotRank, we monitor casino websites in over 50 markets daily, identifying the games they feature and those showcased in their main lobby areas. This monitoring is conducted in incognito mode, ensuring that personalized game recommendations do not influence the results.

SlotCatalog defines the casino lobby as the primary section where players can access games. If a site has multiple sections, we prioritize the one that is automatically displayed when a user visits. This selection process is tailored to each casino site.

In cases where casinos, especially those powered by Playtech, have multiple equally prominent sections like Vegas, Casino, and Games, we consider each section as part of the casino lobby and analyze them individually. 

Only casinos with significant estimated traffic are included in the SlotRank calculation, as lower-traffic sites offer minimal player exposure and are thus excluded.

Each game in our database is assigned points based on its ranking in these lobbies. The position in the lobby determines the points awarded, with higher placements earning more points. If a game is not present in the lobby, it receives a score of 151. This score is then adjusted by a weight multiplier.

The weight multiplier reflects the casino site's popularity in a given region, based on estimated traffic. More popular casinos have a higher multiplier, giving more weight to games featured prominently on their platforms. For example, the most visited UK casino receives a full weight, while the least popular has the lowest multiplier.

This data, which is crucial for decisions in the dynamic digital casino industry, is provided by our data scientists to ensure transparency and value for operators, affiliates, and developers. The information is compiled by country, producing the SlotRank metric for various markets.
