The original 2015 Lucky Leprechaun release from Microgaming has more or less sunken into oblivion, and for some reason the iGaming giant has decided to take it upon themselves to honor this Irish Luck title with a follow-up. Usually, they let one of their numerous partner studios do the heavy lifting, but Lucky Leprechaun Clusters comes straight from the legendary developer’s own hand.

The visuals are about as dated as in the first game, which we assume is intentional, but you get a larger 7x7 grid with a Cluster Chase™ pay system. The premium symbols pay between 100 and 1,500 x your stake for 20+ matching symbols in a cluster, and you also have different wild symbols that come via different features. It probably helps if you’re a fan of Barcrest’s popular Rainbow Riches range though, as there are plenty of similarities.

The pace and tempo of the game is pleasant with the turbo switched on, and it goes well together with the cheerful Celtic tune. Getting to the actual bonus trail game already gives you a decent payout, and 4,600x seems like a reasonable potential for an installment like this. The Trail O’ Fortune Bonus is somewhat engaging, although nothing too special either, and overall this is a pretty decent Microgaming release that will probably please fans of the Irish Luck genre.
