Review Summary

We found the fairy, Scarlett O’ Sparklewish, to be a bit creepy to be honest, but maybe that’s just us. The Celtic theme is idyllic enough though, and the Dublin Up title is a clever play on words for a game with Irish roots and a doubling multiplier. The Doublemax feature certainly makes the base game more interesting than many other cascading mechanic releases, as the multiplier grows quicker than you may think.

This is reflected in the ‘rice on a chess board’ story, as doubling the number of grains per square adds up to an astronomical number of grains on the 64th square. Everything is enhanced when the doubling multiplier doesn't reset between bonus round spins, and the 20,024x potential is within reach when the multiplier just keeps building. Overall, a pretty decent installment in the Doublemax range, at least if you enjoy the Celtic fairy theme.
