AvatarUX has become somewhat of a one trick pony by now (at least until proven otherwise), and they’ve certainly been persistent despite never having proper mainstream success with their PopWins mechanic series. PiggyPop offers more of the same in many ways, and it’s all about increasing the number of rows and win ways by landing winning combos that split symbol positions in two.

Maxing out the base game grid awards the bonus round, which this time comes with Unlimited Free Spins. Indefinite free spins is more correct perhaps, as the tally resets to 3 per win. The equally unlimited multiplier increases per free spin, and the grid maxes out at 6x8 with 524,288 win ways. The Super High Pay Golden Pig awards 3x your stake for 6-oak, while the 3 regular piggies pay 1.5x your stake for the same. The PopWins mechanic kicks in whenever you land a winning combo, and the winning symbols are removed as the positions split in two. New symbols fill the empty positions, and this expands the grid accordingly. It also increases the number of win ways as seen on the left-hand side.

You trigger the Bonus Round when you increase all reels to 6 rows in a base game spin sequence. The feature plays out with a grid that’s 4 symbols tall, and it can increase up to 6x8 at the most. The grid resets down to the shortest reel during the feature, and you start with 3 free spins. An upfront gamble wheel can increase the number of starting rows up to 6 though, but you risk losing the whole feature.

The free spins counter resets to 3 for every win, and you thus get an indefinite amount of spins in what’s called the Unlimited Free Spins feature. The global win multiplier increases by +1 per spin, and it too comes with no upper limit. The Golden Pig symbol lands with a multiplier that’s equal to the number of golden pigs in view, and maxing out the grid adds +x2 to each golden pig you land.

You can purchase the bonus round for 100x your stake, and trying your luck with the win ways gamble costs the same. Review Summary

We’ve criticized previous installments for taking too much time filling up the empty PopWins positions, and AvatarUX has amended this issue to a certain degree in PiggyPop. There is still something awkward about the pace of the game however, and we don’t like the small pause you get after hitting the spin button. These are minor details perhaps, but it gets annoying rather quickly when you play.

We do like the Unlimited/Indefinite free spins round however, inspired by the classic streak respins feature as it certainly is. Racking up a solid global win multiplier is alpha and omega, and the golden pig multipliers can really make a dent if you land enough. The bonus buy menu gives you some nice options (if available in your jurisdiction), and the 10,690x potential seems more realistic than what’s on offer in many previous installments in this series.
