The premium symbols pay between 1.5 and 5 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and the Avalanche mechanic removes all winning symbols from the grid. New and/or existing symbols will then drop down to fill the gaps, or slide in from the right on the top horizontal reel. This process repeats as long as you keep winning, and a couple of features are there to help you out.

The Countdown Bombs can appear on reels 2 to 5 and the top reel only, and they come with Avalanche counters between 1 and 4. If several multiplier wild reels are part of the same win, the multipliers are multiplied with each other before being applied.

The Respin feature is triggered when you land at least one torpedo shark anywhere in view, and you’ll see the shark fly across the grid in all sorts of directions. This removes 2 to 10 symbols randomly, and a new Avalanche is thus triggered.

You need to collect 3 bonus symbols in the left-hand side meter within the same Avalanche sequence to trigger the Deep Sea Bonus Round. You get 12 Deep Sea Free Spins for the minimum of 3 scatters, while +5 free spins is added onto that per extra triggering scatter. The bonus round comes with an unlimited progressive win multiplier that increases by +1 per Avalanche win. You can retrigger the feature with 12+ extra spins by landing 3+ scatters.

Review Summary

We found ourselves so fascinated by the subsea backdrop view that we really wished those pesky symbols would be removed long enough to take in a full glimpse. The torpedo shark Respin feature is a gift in that regard, but we don’t quite get why Fantasma has decided to go with wooden tile royal symbols. This is a submarine game, after all, and not a mining or wild west slot, so all the wood seems a bit misplaced.

Anyway, the Countdown Bomb feature is a somewhat innovative way to introduce wild reels into the game, and the multiplier action they provide can lead to solid base game payouts here and there. Cracking the decent 10,000x potential is even more likely with the unlimited progressive win multiplier that comes into play when the bonus round hits, and 60x your stake seems like a reasonable price to pay for the feature (for those who live in eligible jurisdictions).
