Which one you prefer will boil down to personal preference, but we found the symbol collection multiplier system to be quite entertaining.

It adds a sense of purpose and direction to the gameplay, as the more wins you rack up the higher the final boost will be. This can lead to solid payouts also in the base game, but the downside is that, unlike in Gates of Olympus, the multiplier resets also in the bonus round. The 10,000x potential is twice that in the predecessor release though, and overall we prefer Sword of Ares all things considered.
